Thank you!! :)
Hmmm.... maybe you can help on some other Virginia cases?? Yes? :)
Sure! This one was apparently pretty close to home (like... less than 10 miles away!), but I can pull up VA records as needed. Just let me know who/when/where. :)

Okay - great! :) I'll "tag" you on the cases I'm looking for!

Well - I never heard of this woman!?

Woman is fifth sentenced to prison in Metzger slaying

Sept. 15, 2020

A Mineral woman Tuesday became the fifth person to receive a prison term for participating in the 2018 slaying and dismemberment of 19-year-old Megan Metzger in Spotsylvania County.

Laura Beth Denekas, 35, received the maximum sentence of five years in prison from Judge William Glover for her conspiracy conviction in Spotsylvania Circuit Court. She received an additional year to serve on an unrelated drug conviction.
[.....]
Denekas had the least culpability in the coverup, according to the evidence. She accompanied Keating to Washington to sell the gun used in the murder for money that was used to purchase more drugs.

I still have Benavidez facing arson charges. He did a plea deal and has hearing on 9/25/20. And then we are "done" with this group!

RIP Megan...
