Man accused of abducting Louisa County teen now facing sex crimes

Monday, a judge granted a motion to allow the felony charge to be put on hold so that the case can be taken up in Louisa Circuit Court.

Looks like the abduction charge was put on hold in order to try him on the more serious charges first in another court.
Ugh I am so disgusted. Exactly what I did not want to hear. Hope he is put away for a very long time. D*** him! That poor child.

A judge in Louisa Circuit Court has denied bond for the man accused of abducting a teenager, leading to a multi-county manhunt earlier this year.
Bruce William Lynch, Jr. was scheduled for an arraignment hearing on Friday, December 27. The court instead granted a request from defense attorney Mike Hallahan to push the hearing to February 6, 2020. Hallahan told NBC29 that the defense is waiting for the discovery process to be completed before entering a plea.

It was revealed in court Friday that Lynch admitted during an interrogation to being intimate with the teen on several occasions, and said that he was in love with her. Prosecutors also said Lynch had made plans ahead of time: texting misleading plans of running away with the teen to West Virginia in case someone tried to look for them.

Evidence suggested that Lynch planned to instead hide at a vacant property in Louisa County.

Lynch’s mother took the witness stand Friday, telling the court her son had briefly stopped by her home when authorities were searching for him. Prosecutors questioned her over the timing of when she contacted police, but did acknowledge she provided investigators with helpful information.

"We had his mother in there and some of his family members to try to make a case to get him out on bail pending trial,” Hallahan explained.

The teen connected to this case has been in therapy since returning to her family.
Bond again denied for man accused of abducting Louisa County teen

Its interesting how pedophiles seem to think it somehow makes them less creepy and pedo-y if they admit to being "in love" with their victims. As if that somehow makes them very different than "the other types of men who prey on children.":rolleyes:o_O

Man found guilty of all charges in disappearance of Louisa teen

A Louisa County man has been found guilty of all charges in connection to the disappearance and exploitation of a 14-year-old that sparked nationwide attention.

Louisa County Commonwealth’s Attorney Rusty McGuire said that Bruce W. Lynch, Jr., 34, of Bumpass, was scheduled to have an arraignment on eight charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor when he pleaded guilty without any agreement with the Commonwealth.

An AMBER Alert was issued in the fall of 2019 when the girl’s mother called the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 21 saying that her child was missing and that she might be with Lynch.

“With few leads and grave concern for the child’s safety, the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office rapidly established a Task Force to locate Lynch and the child. The Task Force partnered with other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and began a nationwide manhunt,” a release from the Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Office said

Law enforcement searched around the clock Oct. 21-30 for the missing teen.

“The tireless hours of the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Virginia State Police, Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office ensured this child was returned home safely and we are extremely lucky to have these heroes on the front lines keeping our communities safe,” Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Bob Wood said.
