I don't think BM is smart - certainly not in a high IQ/book smart sort of way. I can't name a single thing he's done since this happened where I've thought - wow, that was smart of him. Actually, I think he's very much the opposite of smart. We're giving him waaaaay too much credit simply because there hasn't been an arrest yet. Some of the things from BM that I believe were less than smart (all JMO, MOO):
The staged bike ride (really narrowed down the list of suspects, IMO)
The mountain lion narrative that he pushed (he should know better - it's a ridiculous theory)
The strange social media activity (especially if he logged in as SM from his phone, as we suspect)
The note he left in Salida (no description of SM??)
The weak alibi in Broomfield (no tools??)
The FB video (didn't involve LE in that?)
The "mechanical thing" with the bobcat (who talks that way??)
Continuing to play the role of victim - a victim who throws everyone else under the bus
And, possibly most incriminating, the peanut butter on the grill. Building an insanity plea? (okay, just kidding on the last one)

I know I'm leaving off some big ones, but that's a good start. MOO.

I don't think BM would know a red herring from a blue heron. I don't think there's any sophisticated misdirection going on here - and I think SM is close to home and will eventually be found. Maybe not this week - maybe not even this year - but I do believe she'll be found. MOO.
Super post!
If anything is found there, it's going to be SM's body.

That other stuff could be tossed in a hundred easier, much less risky ways.

Not so a body.

He may have buried some other items with her, most definitely…but he wouldn't go to all that extreme risk, time and trouble simply to get rid of small ticket items.

JMO.
Ohhhh I am hoping they find her there. It would be the nail in BMs coffin if they did!

Can anyone repost the photos we were looking at yesterday, I think, of the beach, eith and without no trespassing signs? I want to compare water levels!!

TIA

JMO
Megnut, I'm not sure if these are the photos you're looking for, but "legalmomma" posted two in post #944 on thread #37. (Not sure how to link from prior threads, sorry!)

Chris is on with Tricia live right now, talking about a pink bike. That may have been purchased for parts, and a connection to Scott, presumably the bike repair guy.

Interesting.

Gotta believe the mountain lion screwed up with the bike big time.

JMO

“There is a pink bike involved....it may have been bought for parts....went to a kid named Scott to fix.” Chris M. from PE says this is part of the puzzle. (The Live with Tricia tonight.)

Agree this cryptic talk likely further supports Barry bungled the bike ride scenario.

And Scott the repairman will know why.

5 am
5 guys at BM's, they were kind of snickering about the guys at the end?
5 mines to check out tomorrow with 5 new cameras
5 specialists of some kind coming
5 times BM returned somewhere

If the dogs are sniffing some where that contaminated machinery was previously used, ie the bucket of a bobcat, wouldn't that machinery still have a scent? Or at least back in May they must have tested the bobcat, especially since he was caught lying about doing something mechanical to it.

Stumped

5 am departure time sunday morning?
5 .......number of times LE interviewed MG
5..... number of minutes LE believed the abduction theory
5 guys burgers and fries?

Someone posted comparison riverfront photos of the beach area recently. Was it you @Dave F. ? One photo from May and a current one. I can’t find them. Would you mind directing me to them please?

Here they are again. The Slab Search shot is from May 22, 2020. This shot is from PE's Chris yesterday. The last one is a Channel 4 News shot from May 23, 2020.
The links are in my previous posts.

As for the "keep 5 in mind", not knowing if Andy is religious, but the number 5 has a lot of significance in the Bible, including prophetically.
Also in Numerology, and in Chinese philosophy, in the Tarot, and in mythology.
It could be a personal thing for him, as he was thinking aloud,... if not relating to something factual in the search for Suzanne,

Maybe I’m worn down by concern over this case, but the cryptic comments aren’t well received by me. I’ve decided to just ignore all these puzzling remarks.

I'm not a big fan of the nugget drops without context, but I'm used to it. My brother is former LE and he used to do the same thing all the time. In a way it's kind of their way of talking about the case without talking about the case, and sort of venting, without giving away any compromising details. Brother used to say stuff like "okay I'll say this much, and then you think about what that means in context of what you know, then you get back to me". And then he'd say something like "think about green fabric, and what's the first thing you think of made from green fabric" (sounds like Chris on PE, eh?) Drove me nuts, I assure you.

But every time, after the case was over, it made perfect sense, and it was never anything that would have compromised the case. He didn't do it to be annoying (although he later admitted that was a bonus) he did it to let off some steam because, LE are people too and they need to talk about stuff. (PE's "Choir Practice" is all about that).

Bringing it back into context of SM's case, the level of attention on this case is now massive, compared to many we all follow. There is (obviously) a lot of details that the PE guys know but can't share and it must be real hard to sit on their hands right now.

Just a little context & hoping it helps. :)
