RSBMYknow, Maybe its because ive survived Considerable trauma, But hearing people dismiss legitimate murder on someone having a bad childhood drives me up a WALL. The trauma didnt do it, The person did. if trauma made people kill eachother we'd be extinct.
Also, it works both ways: if you blame someone's actions on their background, it legitimizes the idea that people with a difficult childhood shouldn't be trusted.
But, IMO, regardless of background, 21 is too young for anyone to be put in a position where they can steal that much money. I come from organizations where even a long-term 50 year old employee needs someone else's signature to spend over $200.
