Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex vs Associated Newspapers

And the aide gave her ideas on how to write the letter, they didn't tell her to write it or write it themselves. She asked for advise. It's all in the docs that were published today. She lost copyright privs due to sharing that the letter existed to a friend and was given permission to acknowledge the letter. JMO

No, they didnt. MM cant claim the letter was hers solely if she is going to go this route. The judge gave her one more deadline to respond to these new facts. She is a liar, IMO. Her plan backfired and she knows it.
MOO a suggestion to write a letter is not likely to a have bearing on her copyright.

Can you link the specific article that has the implied letter sharing?

Hmm.
MOO a couple of people esteemed people suggest you write a letter as a kind of Hail Mary make up gesture to a non-supportive father.
A palace communication advisor goes over the letter before it is posted, as is done with all correspondence leaving the palace.
Seems like normal business.

MOO I think you mean that, in your opinion she should lose copy rights. She is currently asserting her rights in court.
If the source of the information is the DM, Sun, Express - those are the Allied Press defendants

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry hand Frogmore Cottage to Princess Eugenie and move belongings to California in dead of night.
The Sussexes’ prized possessions were hauled out of Frogmore Cottage in the dead of night to make way for their new tenant, The Sunreports.

Pregnant Eugenie, 30, and husband Jack Brooksbank moved into the refurbished five-bed home in Windsor two weeks ago.

The secretive switch saw treasured items and furniture packed off to the Sussexes’ home in California.

Too many docs to post but she shared it and legally lost privacy rights since she acknowledged it to a friend. JMO
MOO Sharing existence of a document does not void copyright.
In any case I do not see any mention of a letter at all in the People article.

MOO, I have my doubts that this would have been done secretly. The property is owned by the Queen. It's a short distance from Windsor Castle. Employees of the royal family would have learned and mentioned it to the Queen. JMO, it also seems unlikely the Princess Eugenie would have gone behind her grandmother's back to set up a "secret deal".

Probably just some gossip.

Dead of night, when reporters, blabby courtiers and staff are sleeping.

MOO Meghan and Harry are fighting intrusion into their lives. From what I can see in the suit, a lot of it is based on Carolyn Graham's activity on behalf of DM and Allied, and as head of the US Daily Mail, a deeply connected Royal reporter. She personally visited with and "handled" Thomas Markle, even offering him a TV show to regularly opine on the many flaws of his daughter.
I hope the judge finds in her favor as to me it is clear that her copyright was infringed upon.

Prince Harry Sues U.K. Tabloid for Libel—in Couple's Sixth Lawsuit in a Year

Prince Harry is suing the same U.K. tabloid publisher as Meghan Markle—in the couple's sixth lawsuit in just more than a year, Newsweek can reveal.

The Duke of Sussex has launched a libel case against Associated Newspapers, which owns the Daily Mail, the Mail on Sunday and Mail Online.

Papers were filed at the High Court in London on November 27, though little additional information is available as the lawsuit is still in its infancy.

From another article:

Prince Harry has launched libel action against the publishers of a British tabloid over an article claiming he had not kept in touch with the Royal Marines, reports said Monday.

The reports said it related to an October report in the Mail on Sunday in which a senior military commander criticised Harry for an alleged lack of contact.

The Telegraph reported that the couple, who now live in the United States with their young son, Archie, have filed six legal claims in just over a year.

The news/tabloid/social media should stop reporting on them altogether. They aren't really doing anything interesting or important. They don't want the coverage, so just stop. People have more important things going on in their lives, there's more compelling news happening in the world.

This is true. Plus, surely they cannot expect to support themselves from lawsuits. Jmo
