Weare police ask for public's help to find missing 37-year-old
There has not been a confirmed sighting of Manuel Soares, 37, since about 9:40 p.m. on Sept. 28 near Elliot Hospital in Manchester.

Police said Soares did not have access to a vehicle and his cellphone has not been turned on since he was last seen.

He is described is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds.

He was wearing a tan shirt with plaid shorts and black Crocs when he went missing.

Police said Soares has a surgical scar on his right hand.

Police later announced that Soares was possibly seen in the area of the Manchester Walmart on Tuesday afternoon. He was possibly seen wearing tan corduroy pants, white sneakers, a dark-colored jacket, a beanie-style cap and a gray and orange backpack.

Anyone with information about the disappearance is asked to contact Weare Police Lt. Frank Hebert at 603-529-7755.

Circumstances: Last seen exiting Elliot Hospital, on surveillance video, walking towards Tarrytown Road in Manchester New Hampshire. Does not have his needed medication. Cellphone not charged. History of being distraught. Possibly in Manchester – Nashua area.

Its still so hard to understand how you are gone virtually without a trace! Someone out there knows something please if you do please call. Our hearts can not be heavier than they are tonight! Manies family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers, encouragement, faith, love and hope that was given to us by all of you the last 5 months. For all the people who gave there time to search for him thank you so much. Manie was found this week and what we all hope would be a joyous reunion was not meant to be. My son is hopefully at peace now no longer struggling in this life. We can only hope and pray his soul is free and flying high. I choose this picture to used because I want to remember his funny and silly side. I love you Manie rest in peace.
