It's been a while since posting to this thread. I still have all my research on this case. And to this day, I believe Mary Anderson was not from here in the Seattle area, nor possibly the United States. I have always believed she may have lived a life in espionage. And after watching the second volume of Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix that dropped yesterday (10/19/20), the "Death in Oslo" episode just might confirm this as it has so many similarities to the Mary Anderson case. It possibly explains why no family and friends ever came forward saying they recognized or knew her. Different deaths, but same time era (1995/96), with possibly the same intent and circumstances. And who knows, maybe the two cases are related. Watch the episode and you'll understand.

Thanks for sharing Mary’s story, I was thinking of her and the Christmas tree Jane doe today, really hope they are solved...

So, someone just made a post for a missing woman "Daisy Mullins Dungan" that they found on Find a Grave. The woman just disappeared. Vanished. Doesn't even list a missing date.
Any way, she is a large woman and her nose looks a lot like Mary's. Daisy disappeared from California from what I can decipher.

I came across this lady and her eyebrows drew me in. She had those same perfectly tweezed eyebrows. Anyway I thought I would post her. She told her daughter she was going to get married and left. I also think it’s odd the daughter didn’t know anything. I think if my mom said she was going to go off and get married I would want to know the guy or a phone number or address or something. Anyway

I just found another photo of Racheal and has what I believe to be her hand. It looks chubby . Maybe she weighed more than the person who reported her thought she weighed? Just a thought

Comparing faces, it seems like it could be her -- but the height and weight give me pause. She could have gained weight but the five-inch height difference is a lot.

Yeah the height difference is a lot for Evelyn.. your right.
The other woman I posted is Rachel Lucinda Jones is listed as 5’5 might be closer in height.

Same thing Height is way off for Lidia.
I think Rachel is the closest and who knows who reported her and if the person reported her knew her height? I often wonder where they get the information for the missing people.

While watching that episode I had the exact same thought. So similar to Mary. I actually emailed Dr. Kathy Taylor to ask if she had seen it...

Wow Madame X , I like this one more than any one suggested! It all sort of lines up, the hysterectomy scar, jewelry showings, ( cyanide is used and can be easily purchased in the jewelry business. I also like her look, that is the way I always imagined that Mary would be in real life! Classy, neat , and chic! Please tell me that you are suggesting her case!!!

I don't think this woman was likely reported missing - I'm thinking it'll be a Lyle Stevik when the family thought he was alive and cutting off all contact. Also, is it just me or compared to her PM images, do reconstructions seem like different people?

Yes, I struggle to see the resemblance between the postmortem photos and the younger-looking reconstructions, too. I understand it's partly because skin sags after death, but still.
