Just wondering about her mobile phone movements. From the reports I naively thought the reports suggested there was a single mast Covering the east of York. From google street view there is a mast at the top of east parade in 2008. A quick search shows that there were as many as 45 masts in operation in central York in 2002 with a further 37 masts further afield.

I am no expert but Surely there must have been triangulation in 2009 to locate phones?
This gives me the theory that perhaps her phone didn’t leave her house and did someone revisit around midday on the 19th to turn the phone off?
Tracking of mobile phone movements must have been possible in Heworth and Acomb to give better location tracking?

am I off the mark again or are the NYP not disclosing something?

'She had made calls to her parents which the police have never revealed where she was then she made those calls and of course they have a pretty good idea from the cell phone data but for operational reasons they have kept that to themselves and having made those calls she was never heard from again'

I notice that throughout these threads you ventilate on several occasions that the "Police used the bus footage to draw attentions to the white Astra van, they allowed the footage to continue down Heworth road allowing the perps they have been seen suv ect."
For clarification, what SUV and Perps are you referencing in that video?

there is two long sharp knives in there, the glasses placed to the right of the sink in position make me curious the wine glass and the pint glass - did Claudia put them in there or someone else?

I'm sure Claudia's family and friends would have some idea about her drinking habits: what she drank and what type of glass she preferred etc. Also; some individuals do not like drinking in the house

Like others have suggested; I wonder If the bins gave any clues to what was eaten or drank. Similarly; would the contents of the fridge give any clues

The plates and cutlery suggest 1 meal, but having 2 long knives present is strange?. And 4 glasses!; was this an attempt to make it look like 4 people had been present?

No, I can remember placing orders by telephone to next at that time. They did stop producing the catalogues at some point though so you'd need t internet to browse.
Also if you're in store and can't get something you like in your size you can arrange delivery, if you have an account, which she obviously did.

Well I tried my best to read through past posts but there is just too much to process. I didn’t want to touch on information that had been long discussed.

I wouldn’t be adding value by speculating further but a couple of things play on my mind.
* Staring is in the face, The image of CL holding a camera, was this retrieved? I assume it had a memory card or required a connection to a computer to download the images. Where were these photos stored? It is reported she didn’t own a computer or have the home internet access. Did she use the computers at Uni after her shifts?
* Alleyway Man- I believe that the alleyway was previously open from the Nags car park. Assuming he walked down HR and was up to no good would he not have cut behind the pub?
* There was mention of a key pad or key box outside 15 HP. Could he of been going to retrieve (pm) then drop off (am) a door key to the properties key box?
*The flashing lights in the window of the house in the corner is currently up for sale. Looking at the position of the TV could it have been the screen illuminating the window? Property for Sale in Heworth Road, York YO31 - Buy Properties in Heworth Road, York YO31 - Zoopla
* I think it is fair to say the police have a wealth of CCTV which most likely places the suspects in the vicinity of CLs house. The quality is poor which may prevent it being so clear cut. From the hard work of forum members it is clear the CCTV that has been released by NYP is doctored or certainly incredibly selective. I struggled with the images of showing multiple people on HR on the morning of the 19th but again having access to all the footage from surrounding properties probably would have stopped a lot of speculation.

If the camera has gone 'missing'; surely this would suggest someone Claudia knew had something to do with her disappearance. A perpetrator that was a stranger, would unlikely be on the camera

However the CCTV focussing around her house, to me, suggests that she hadn’t moved away from home on the Wednesday evening or at least not without her phone.

In my opinion it would have been that there was someone in her presence that evening or let themselves (using keys)into her property whilst she was asleep and smothered her. She was then removed.
The text message to JK was a cover up as it reportedly contained incorrect information regarding her shifts and typed with out a kiss. I think the guilty person is known to JK or could not be that she herself walked across the road that evening to 46 and things got out of hand?
My interest in the case was created by watching the recent programme on channel 5 and JK’s behaviour. This was from someone I hadn’t seen before and mentioned to my Mrs she was involved. All in my opinion and the Mrs mocked me as if playing a game of Cluedo

Again this is a fresh pair of eyes, I hadn’t viewed this footage previously. Sorry if this has been discussed....
is the white Astra van actually involved? It appears too far from 46.
There appears to be two vehicles parked closely together on the kerb outside 46, odd on a road of this layout as it would encourage people to park on the opposite side. Have these images been cleaned up?
There is a white van parked on the opposite side of the road closer to HP. The oncoming cars pull around it so it is clearly stopped with the headlights on.


After seeing this I would certainly be inclined to believe this was after the event. However, lack of a crime scene or evidence at 46. Did she get in one of the cars willingly or was escorted?
Did her phone get left behind? Would they have gone to the level of planning to take the rucksack?
However well planned , I cannot see that a potential criminal would review bus routes in advance to make sure they weren’t captured on camera.

Maybe the person that let themself in was not the person Claudia was expecting to enter her room in the dark. Perhaps that's why no noise was heard because Claudia was not expecting the visitor to be volatile
