Today I suddenly wondered about the neighbour of CL, who had his sidewalk blocked with the car, which parked with it's front against the SUV. Didn't he complain because of that? Why not?

Well there certainly seems to be a lot activity around the SUV and the other parked cars. Were these neighbours?
Were the people in the back of the truck neighbours?
If as I suspect a lot of the this activity was 'as or after Claudia was leaving' were the neighbouring properties being evacuated?

Ray Galloway said it was a Ford Ranger Thunder which was a double cab.It had a convential 4 door opening (correct me if Im wrong) rather than the door style and jump seats in you pic.

possibly, the model changed as you can see in 2006. I believe the earlier models have more chrome detailing externally.
As you can see the later model has the option of 4 doors or rear ‘suicide’ type doors which open the opposite always but the front doors must be open in order to open the rears. If that makes sense?

I thought it was the Ford Ranger that had the doors that opened the opposite ways and jump seats ..The Ford Ranger Thunder was a convential 4 Door 2 seat truck

That’s what I got from the car on light room...shared on another site a while back.

Last night 2 of us looked at the images that Lulu, Vixey and Shadwell posted upon my phone in the dark. We have also looked at the images blown up on the P.C. too

When we altered the distance and angles from where which position we viewed the P.C monitor; due to the Sunlight etc influencing the image quality. I think that trickery of light etc could perhaps give the impression 1 face can be seen in the window; but what are the chances of 2 imaginary faces being present in the window. Thus; IMO there are 2 people looking out the back window.

That's perhaps why when I first viewed the image that I just incorrectly assumed it was 2 individuals in the front of a car

You can see quite a lot of features of the 2 Females? in the image. And IMO the person on the left near the path side is Claudia. Apologies If I have downloaded the image incorrectly









I'm sure there are better image and body language or movement specialists than myself who's looked at the images. Perhaps a Psychologist has looked at the image.

Additionally; I'm sure an expert on these vehicles could say what's possible with body dynamics, in relation to the positions of the 2 people in the back of the vehicle?

IMO the 2 passengers have been kneeling on them, and looking out the back window? Or; have they been sat on the jumper seats in a conventional manner, and because there jumper seats it's been easier for them to swivel round in order for them to look out the back window?





However; IMO:

• The lady on the right has very thin arms; therefore, is this lady very petite
• The lady on the right looks as if she has a lightly coloured short sleeved shirt on
• The lady on the left looks like she is in the custody of the lady on the right, or is possibly being comforted by the lady on the right. It looks like the lady on the right has her left arm under the left arm of the person on the left
• If the images are of 2 passengers; then why are they appearing to be looking out the back window? Are they waiting for someone to approach from the direction of the Nags Head?
• I'm sorry for being morbid; but could this type of vehicle with the facility it has at the back, be suitable for transporting objects.
• Maybe the theory of UK Jester could explain how a vehicle 'has blended in' during its departure from the area; due to their being 2 identical vehicles in operation?
• It was suggested this vehicle was present at a possible key time of 9pm

I thought it was the Ford Ranger that had the doors that opened the opposite ways and jump seats ..The Ford Ranger Thunder was a convential 4 Door 2 seat truck

I certainly wouldn’t disagree with you, I wasn’t sure what year or model the SUV actually is. Was it definitely a Thunder as reported?

By keeping the case open even after 12 years the full details of the case cannot be revealed or discussed publicly.
I think there is a lot more to this case than a promiscuous woman who disappeared. Thats just my opinion others may have a different opinion.

Last night 2 of us looked at the images that Lulu, Vixey and Shadwell posted upon my phone in the dark. We have also looked at the images blown up on the P.C. too

To answer your question directed at me.... I still feel my point is being missed:
*There were reports of two locals with similar SUV vehicles.
* NYP ask for the owner of the vehicle on CCTV to come forward.
* An owner of a black Ford Ranger Thunder came forward immediately after the appeal and advised it would of been him and he lives in the area.
* The owner is discounted from the investigation.
* Did the actual owner of the vehicle in the CCTV footage come forward?
* The Major’s blog suggested the image of the Ford Thunder on Heworth Road google streetview was the same vehicle.
* From the differences identified in our review of the footage it is has different features so is unlikely to be the same SUV.
* It drove out of the area on the Wednesday evening and was captured on CCTV, it didn’t blend in.
* My worry is the fact is was discounted almost immediately may suggest the NYP didn’t do a thorough check.

As I mentioned it could be that the true owner of that vehicle did come forward with a very plausible alibi. The nagging doubt is that the other vehicle was suggest to be one and the same which we know isn’t correct

But surely when the owner came forward ALL people would have been spoken to and cross checked !!
By the police !
Who else was with you ? Where were you all going to ?

I would just like to mention something you may have missed the top of their heads are above the what would be the roof of the SUV .
I looked at this photo in the early days and to me they were sat in the rear of the flat bed and not in the rear seats of the SUV. Some Ranger owners fitted what they would call a tool box in the back of the truck this was a large metal lockable trunk that ran almost the full width of the back of the cab.I think they are sat on that their body positioning confirms to me that they are sat outside the cab.
From what I could see the male was sat with his arms crossed in a relaxed way across his body. His sleeves appear to be rolled up to his elbows. The female appears to be dressed in a blue boiler suit style garment with a white stripe down the outside of the arm. The are both sat facing the oncoming bus, her upper body is at a slight angle, her right hand is placed on his arm. When I looked closer her body angle is because she is making room on her left for another person who is either exiting from the truck or climbing into the truck.

The strangest thing I noted and which didnt change when looking at the still photo was that the male appeared to be wearing ear defenders. Has anyone else noted this?

There would have had to be a lot of conferring going on . Where you driving , going to coming from who was with you in the front at the back?
In the end the police would have been interested in the people and not the vehicles ?

However; although specifics do need examining, the interesting part is it looks like there are people on or inside the truck at a key time.

9pm has been stated to be a possible key point in the disappearance

Additionally; when you incorporate the theory of UKjester, then the significance of the Ford Ranger could be important

Since I and my partner have looked at a selection of images; we now think the person on the path side does indeed look like Claudia. And the Female on the right has certain features

Hi KIR ; I say the below in the manner of you are probably more likely to be correct in where the 2 people are positioned

If the 2 people are sat outside on the bed of the truck (of which you are more likely to be correct)

Then; would this not be unusual? Especially at 9pm on a March evening

Is it the norm to travel like this? Why were they not travelling inside the vehicle ? Did the vehicle have 4 people inside,so they had to travel on the back ?

I completely agree about the Rangers presence on Heworth road weds night being significant my opinions have never changed on that.
We know what time it is reported as leaving but what time did it arrive?
It was caght on the bus cam at 9.01 but how long had it been there before that?
