MISSING PERSON

Greenville police are asking everyone to be on the lookout for 54-year-old Scott Phillips. He was last seen leaving his residence in the 1800 block of Bloomsbury Road on February 22, 2021 between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Family members have not seen him since that time nor has his employer (Vidant Edgecombe Cancer Center) heard anything from him. Family members have indicated this is unusual behavior for him.

The picture below is the most recent picture GPD has of Scott; however, at the time he was last seen he did not have facial hair. He should be operating a 2017 black Toyota Corolla with NC tag HMK6012. If located, please call 252-329-4302.

Hoping locals can search the sides of those routes. Looks like there are some opportunities to run off into the Tar river areas or some ponds. The 2 routes that are slower/backroads have a lot more opportunity to run off the road with no guardrails... Hoping some locals do some walking of those roadside treelines. 4 full days have passed so very critical to find him asap if he could be trapped in the car in an accident. Also surely the police and family have checked with Toyota as the 2017 Corolla's have some technology and may keep a connection to Toyota. As with all recent missing persons, families who may have access to his google account (if he has one) could check google maps timeline and get fairly close to where he last was. Law enforcement should also have access to cell phone last tower and potentially last location.

How awful, very sad. This is mysterious - I wonder why he was found here instead of the location of his employer. The article doesn’t provide much detail. Was he found in his car, on some land, what was the cause of death, etc.
