Maybe they just didn't put her name on the headstone. If she died in Sept and you went there in October???

The Agent in Charge before Hart spent a lot of time at Oheka Castle. The Melius shooting is still open. The Burke/Spota investigation was run out of the Manhattan public corruption unit. What does that tell you?
Well, I guess it means that when the decision was initially made to investigate Burke/Spota, it was thought best that the LI office be left totally out of the loop, in order to eliminate the possibility of any interference from possible ‘friends’ they might have had in the LI office...
But if Hart was the top agent in LI office during the LISK investigation, she could have been the reason that they were blocked from the investigation (I’m trying to be optimistic about Hart).

The FBI is The FBI no matter their office might be located. If they can't be trusted then what good are they? In so far as PC HART, I think she is a good and honest person. From what I hear it was the Manhattan FBI public corruption office that managed this case. I know of one person that visits this Board and she went to Melville to make a complaint. In doing so she mentioned BURKE. She was told they weren't even allowed to mention his name in their office and was given the phone number of 2 Agents to call in Manhattan.

What does any of this have to do with Joe Brewer ?
What does anything have to do with anything if it’s not connected to everything?
Joe Brewer was, as far as we know, one of the last people to see Shannan Gilbert alive. He is also—oh yeah—the john that hired her, and he’s the guy whose residence that Shannan Gilbert fled from while, or immediately after, experiencing something so frightening that it prompted her to call 911. The 911 call that remains heavily guarded by SCPD in relation to the case still being an ‘ongoing’ investigation. PC Hart is the head of SCPD, and we are trying to decipher where her interests lie in relationship to this case and its almost certain connection to larger LISK. So Joe Brewer is POI in relation to both cases...
Yeah?

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed> Going back to Shannan Gilbert’s jeans and cell phone...according to attorney John Ray, those items were returned to Gilbert family and are in the possession of Ray. He explained that when items were returned to family, Shannan Gilbert’s mother claimed to have turned the phone on, and it worked/powered on. The contents of the phone had to have been copied/backed up by SCPD when it was initially recovered (or completely wiped by SCPD if we’re going the conspiracy route).

<modsnip: Referenced post was removed> ... if it weren’t for John Ray representing Shannan Gilbert, specifically fighting in court to have the mystery 911 call released, this whole investigation might have been abandoned a long time ago. Spota, Burke, Brewer, Hackett and anyone else who has been implicated in relation to obstruction of investigation would have really liked that.

Pak was only linked to SG by a scrap of paper her boyfriend found. Also SG it’s reported, said ‘They’re trying to kill me’. She may already have known enough to make her death necessary.

Diaz is lying there to a degree. He at one point was also a driver for escort companies and that’s how him and Shannon hooked up. Specifically the Jersey chapter of that escort company. I believe he got out after police busted Shannon twice in a two year period in Jersey and broke up that ring.
Pak had connections to those companies as well but in Queens/NYC with Asian and Hispanic call girls.
How do I know? I worked for the same company and did work with Shannon in 2009 on Long Island. I heard rumors about Pak after LISK from people I knew from that industry when asking around.
The both of them clearly state their alliance to try and find out what happen to Shannon after and communicating. However I don’t by any of MP story and Diaz doesn’t sound to choked up in anyway and has largely stayed out of helping. What more did he know?

Wheel, I think you’re probably right about this or at least onto something. Despite how he comes off in interviews and podcasts, something never sat right with me about Ray. When he first broke onto the scene when Mari was still alive he definitely raised a red flag for me. Something in his ostentatious style in the initial pressers made me really question him and his motives. If the corruption truly runs as deep as some claim, why wouldn’t a wolf in sheep’s clothing plaintiffs attorney come to Mari’s aid to further muddy the waters? If the DAs office is dirty why not ensure security on the civil side with a dirty civil atty? It also raised red flags to me that Ray was so quick to pro Bono associated persons in the case, such as Lowretta Rickenbacker and Sarra Gilbert.

Listening to Her Community2 LISK episodes. It’s bad editing and the hosts skip around a lot, but there is a lot of info offered. Now question is, how much of it is credible. Someone more experienced in this case would have to weigh in on that.
That was the reason why I mentioned it, to see who (of intellectual and experiential distinction) had already heard it but mostly to see it get more proper unpacking and examination in general.

How typical is it to shoot the messanger.
Who else has done anything in support of Shannan other than John Ray? He is all we got who is publicly advocating on her behalf. Before you disparge John Ray, and point out all his foibles, and imply he is part of a conspiracy, I ask his critics, "What have you done to move this case forward?" Were you in court fighting to have th tapes released? Have you had public press conferences shedding light on this case?

If you believe John Ray is doing a poor job, convince some other lawyer you respect and admire and trust, to step forward and lead the battle.

One thing I can assure you, the SCPD wishes John Ray was never involved.

I agree 100%.

Well said, Windsor. I am late to this party. I only watched the Killing Season a few months ago, finding this site as a result of that. I have been reading for some months and enjoy the comments of many posters such as yourself, Hawkshaw, Detective B, Patriots, and others but I never had any intention of signing up. To me, the purpose of these types of boards is to bounce off theories, not "conspiracy" theories, but theories that hit you in the gut in an effort to see if between the community as a group engaged in active dialogue, one is able to flesh-out something new and significant or meaningful. Some posters are allowed to do this, others are banned for it. So, I'm not sure this is the place for me as a "poster." Simply regurgitating MSM news (which as we all know full-well can be wrong) or official statements (which we all know are also susceptible to half-truths and/or misleading statements), and which, in both cases, is already a matter of public knowledge, doesn't do much to advance the ball. I go on my gut, coupled with the research I do, and that seems to be a no-no here.

Toward that end, it is my opinion that SCPD solved this case a long time ago. IMO, they know and have known who did this or, they know and have known that the investigation was intentionally derailed to cover for a few specific high ranking officials. It's also my feeling that evidence was destroyed (like the belt, nothing but a few photos left), and that Ray also knows this as SCPD continues to bury it and block him (the only one still pressing on this case), at every turn. Hawkshaw's past comments, together with my review of the caselaw surrounding MQ's numerous appeals and the involvement and connection and link between the young Burke and Spota, also had me taking a new look at the Pius case. Suffice it to say, I am very disturbed by my recent review.

So, to end this post, I signed up specifically because of your post. I felt the need to respond to it with the traditional Hear! Hear! Well done.
