@elliefant or @JerseyGirl - was wondering if there might be a "date" for the April hearing coming up?

I scrolled thru a couple of the tweeters that YESorNO posted above - but nothing came up about this guy. And I'm only getting very old articles when I search....

Sorry @Niner , I also am unable to access the records site you linked. Cannot find any articles after the February one announcing the April court date and issue with death of expert witness.

Well dang - there was supposed to be a hearing in April - never got the date - I guess that was cancelled.

Doctor accused of killing wife, trial set for October | WSYR

Former Dr. Robert Neulander, who was convicted of killing his wife in their DeWitt home back in 2015 spoke with a judge today ahead of his trial.

He’s been out of prison for nearly three years awaiting a new trial, and that new trial is still slated to start in October.

Neulander’s murder conviction was overturned in June of 2018 based on juror misconduct.

Friday, July 9th:
*Hearing (@ am ET) – NY – Leslie Neulander (61) (Sept. 17, 2012, Dewitt) – *Dr. M. Robert Neulander (63/now 72) (husband) found guilty (4/2/15) of 2nd degree murder & tampering with evidence. Sentenced (7/30/15) to 20 years to life in prison. Wins appeal (6/29/18) for new trial re juror (#12) misconduct. $1M bail, out on bail 7/13/18.
Re-Trial was set to begin on 10/28/20 continued due to COVID to 2/22/21 & continued to 10/18/21.

2/18/21 Update: On Thursday, trial Judge Thomas J. Miller spoke by phone with lawyers over the latest snag: the death of a key prosecution witness from the first trial in March 2015. The witness, Dr. Jan Leestma, of Chicago, died recently said Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick. Leestma was key to the DA’s theory that Leslie died a slow death over many hours, not a relatively sudden death after a slip-and-fall in the shower, as her husband has maintained. The judge was asked to consider whether Leestma’s testimony from the first trial could be read to the jury at the retrial. That’s a decision left up to Miller’s discretion, Fitzpatrick said. If not, the DA’s office will likely have to scramble to find another witness who can examine the brain-cell evidence in time for Neulander’s retrial. Neulander’s case will next be due in court in April. If convicted after a retrial, Neulander faces up to 25 years to life in prison on a murder charge.
7/9/21 Update: Had hearing with Judge today, 7/9/21. Trial is still set for 10/18/21.

Syracuse, NY — The murder retrial for Robert Neulander has been pushed back for a fourth time -- the new date is Feb. 28, 2022.
