3 Young Kids Found Stabbed to Death in Reseda Apartment; Mother Arrested After Suspected Carjacking
The children are all under the age of 5, the LAPD said.

“A grandmother went inside a Reseda apartment Saturday morning and found her three young grandchildren had been stabbed to death, Los Angeles police said. A few hours late, the mother of the children was arrested as the primary suspect in the killings after she allegedly carjacked a vehicle and traveled more than four hours away--north of Bakersfield.

The gruesome discovery was made around 9:30 a.m. in the 8000 block of Reseda Boulevard, Sgt. David Bambrick of the LAPD's West Valley Division said.

The children's ages were 3, 2 and 6 months old.“

Mother arrested as ‘sole suspect’ in deaths of 3 young children in Reseda
..police said she was taken into custody in an area of Tulare County about 200 miles north of the crime scene. She allegedly committed a carjacking in the Bakersfield area while remaining at large.

..a local resident had stopped to assist Carillo after she was involved in an accident on Highway 65.
As he exits his vehicle to assist in what appears to be a single-vehicle accident, he is confronted basically by the suspect in the Los Angeles slayings,” Boudreaux said.

The father of the children, Erik Denton, told KTLA that he shared custody of the children with Carillo. He identified the children as 3-year-old Terry, 2-year-old Joanna, and 6-month-old Sierra.

After leaving town, the Tulare County Sheriff says while heading northbound on Highway 65, North of Bakersfield, Carrillo crashed her [carjacked] car.
The Sheriff says, a man pulled over in his pick-up truck in an effort to help Carrillo.
“While he’s trying to help she makes her way over to his truck and hops in his truck and takes off northbound on the 65," said Sheriff Mike Boudreaux with the Tulare County Sheriff's office.

Probably anywhere far away from Reseda.

These children are exquisite. Unable to link but there's photos of them with their dad. Just gorgeous kids. God Bless them.

Wondering if this will have something to do with postpartum depression? Sierra being six months. Then after two other children the custody agreement? They split up?

Sources said dad was trying for an emergency custody recently. He knew something was wrong.

Mother arrested in death of three children was embroiled in custody dispute
Erik Denton, the father of the children — two girls and a boy — sought custody of them on March 1, according to Tulare County family court documents online.

Denton requested a temporary emergency visitation order from the family court in Porterville on March 4 and petitioned for a mental health evaluation of Carrillo, according to court documents. Orders were drawn up at a March 26 hearing. Another hearing in the case was scheduled for April 14.

In a brief interview with the Los Angeles Times, Denton confirmed he was the father of the three children and said he’d been in a custody battle with Carrillo after she began acting mentally unstable.

Denton said he tried to get local authorities to intervene, but “in LA they wouldn’t help. The LAPD would not get involved.” He said Carrillo was supposed to turn over the kids to him on Sunday.

Liliana Carrillo, 30, was arrested in Tulare County, about 200 miles (322 kilometers) north of Los Angeles. It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer who could speak on her behalf.

The children’s grandmother returned home from work and found their bodies and the mother missing, Los Angeles police Lt. Raul Jovel said.

The Los Angeles Police Department tweeted the children appeared to be under 5 years old. A police spokesman initially said they were under the age of 3.

The gruesome discovery was made around 9:30 a.m. in the 8000 block of Reseda Boulevard, Jovel said.

Police said initial reports suggested the children had been stabbed to death, but no official cause of death has been released.

Jovel said investigators were still working to determine a motive.

“She believed that the city they were living in was unsafe and that there was a sex-trafficking ring and that most of the city was involved in it,” Dr Miller told CBS Los Angeles.

“Those kids were everything. I mean, his [Mr Denton] whole being and essence just revolves around those kids. He had his heart set on seeing the kids because he was supposed to pick the kids up today and have them for the week.”
