I found a few potential women on Namus around the time period before April 1996.

Can I ask where you got this image from please - Third attachment. Picture of Charlotte.

The '00 one & the '90 one are both found in the Rockaways. I think the Rockaways could definitely be another dumping ground for LISK/Manorville Butcher.

I know I’m replying to an old post but I grew up on the South Shore of Nassau.

The Rockaways are like the polar opposite of the dumping grounds in Manorville and Ocean Parkway…

It’s an semi-urban-like environment with a sizable population but there are plenty of places to “dump”.. however the rockaways have “always” been a dumping ground.

But as compared to Ocean Parkway, the risks involved at the rockaways are much higher (more people, larger police force NYPD, more cameras due to stores, buildings) in terms of dumping and getting caught.

Why would the killer even consider Rockaways in Queens as a viable choice?

Why dump in a high population density area when the killer dumped in other not-as-highly populated areas (Ocean Parkway/Manorville)?

And why dump the MOST discoverable part of the body in a HIGHLY populated area only to discard smaller parts in the LEAST populated area?

It seems counter-intuitive but why?

I would see the opposite occurring: dumping the hands, feet in Rockaways but dumping the torso inside and out of view within the bramble of Ocean Parkway…

It seems the biggest risk while dumping any body part SHOULD be the torso as it’s the bulkiest, heaviest and largest part being disposed of.

You can throw an arm, foot, hand, leg and even head without really being seen. The torso I would THINK is where the killer has to make the best possible choices for disposal in terms of risk/reward.

So why, if you are the killer, why do the most risky action involving the torso in a urban setting when clearly the killer had decided to use the less risky locations for the less risky body parts?

Plus almost-EVERY street on Long Island is connected to sewer/water run off pipes that lead out to the bays. The killer could have EASILY discarded that non-torso parts into the street sewers, yet the killer chose to dump entire body parts in bags and hid them “in the open”. Why?

clearly the killer tried to erase the victims but not really.

Had the killer dug a 4-foot deep hole and just threw the parts in there, buried it and chances are we would never have found them.

Even in discarding the victims, it doesn’t make sense. Many of his victims have been “found”. If hiding the acts is what the killer wanted, the killer had years of media reports of his victims being found to show them they needed to improve disposal methods.

IMO, the killer isn’t dismembering the victims to solely hinder identification. I wonder if the killer isn’t making a human mannequin from various parts of each victim.

It’s almost as if the killer wants the parts to be found, just not right away.

If they really wanted to kill but go undetected, liquifying the body/body parts “a la” Jeffrey Dahmer in strong Acid or Base solutions would be the smartest.
Then pour waste solution down the drain/tub/toilet or even in a yard.

The entire process LISK does in terms of dumping is so strange. But it has worked thus far in helping to evade capture.

A pair of severed legs wrapped in plastic are discovered on Fire Island. The woman is referred to as "Fire Island Jane Doe." Her remains are the first indication that something sinister is happening on Long Island.

I read it more like they were mixing up FIJD and Peaches further down in the text:
The ninth victim, Jane Doe Number 9, is discovered to be Fire Island Jane Doe, whose legs were found in 1996. Due to DNA testing, it is also believed that she was the mother of the unidentified baby found on Gilgo Beach. Fire Island Jane Doe/Jane Doe Number 9 is renamed "Peaches" because of a tattoo found on her body. Investigators say they believe mom and baby were killed at the same time.

Suffolk County, New York, authorities on Friday identified a Gilgo Beachmurder victim known as “Fire Island Jane Doe” as Karen Vergata, an escort who went missing on Valentine’s Day in 1996

Suffolk County, New York, authorities are expected to identify a Gilgo Beach murder victim that has gone nameless in the over decade-long case, according to a source familiar with the investigation.

The source said authorities in a press conference Friday morning will name Jane Doe No. 7, whose remains were found in 2011 along a beachfront parkway during the expansive Gilgo Beach investigative search and later linked to remains first found on nearby Fire Island in 1996.
