Recently The Behavior Panel analyzed the body language of Robert Durst during his interviews for "The Jinx." Several of the clips were of Durst reacting to two examples of handwriting: one was a letter Durst wrote to Susan Berman in block letters with "Beverly" misspelled; the other was a letter to the police informing them that there was a "cadaver" at Susan Berman's address in Beverly Hills with "Beverly" misspelled the same way. Durst acknowledged writing the first letter and denied writing the second. The interviewer then held up a piece of paper with just the "Beverley Hills" parts of the addresses, enlarged and one over the other, and asked Durst which one he didn't write. Brilliant question. Durst had to admit that he couldn't say.
One wishes that Darnay Hoffman had been a more talented questioner. Patsy said she couldn't see any similarities between Cina Wong's examples from the ransom note and her own lettering. Hoffman just let that stand. Asking her to make a blinded choice would have put her in a bind.
