BCSO Needs Your Help Identifying Female Victim Discovered Off Of Hwy 211

On April 4th, 2019 around 3:00 PM, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office discovered burned human remains of an unidentified female in far west Bexar County, at about the 13000 block of State Highway 211, prompting a joint investigation with the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Bexar County Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The remains are those of a Caucasian or Hispanic female, between 25 and 45 years of age and about 4’11” to 5’3” inches in height. A digital postmortem rendition of this decedent was created by the Texas Rangers Evidential Art and Facial Identification Office in Austin, Texas. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office and Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office are requesting your assistance in identifying this decedent, and need your help finding relatives by disseminating this photograph and information. Anyone with information about the identity of this decedent can contact either the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office at 210-335-4011 or the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-6070 or at BCSOTIPS@bexar.org. The UID's bottom front teeth, one" bending "backwards and the other forward, looks like a good clue to watch for.

BCSO: Skeletal remains found in far west Bexar County burned beyond recognition
"BCSO spokesman Johnny Garcia said the body was found about 75-100 yards off the roadway behind some brush. The body was found in a burned area.

“This body is completely burned at this point … to the point of no recognition,” Garcia said. “At this time, we just have bones.”

Garcia said there’s no time frame as to how long the body had been hidden in the brush. He said there’s about a 15-foot slope to get down to the area where the remains were found.

“It’s hard to get down. There’s also some trails and tracks that vehicles appeared to have frequented on. Not too sure if they were (trails) that have been there for quite some time, but there is some trail leading back to that area,” Garcia said.

Garcia said the area is completely dark at night, so he’s urging anyone who believes they may have seen something to come forward".

My property backs up to Government Canyon State Park on a different side. But where these remains were located is off Hwy 211 which has little traffic, and most especially at night. It is very dark and isolated. Because they don't know when the remains were first there, I think it's going to be difficult and next to impossible to locate someone who may have seen something.

"The identity of a woman whose charred remains were found near Government Canyon on April 4 was released Wednesday by officials. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said during a press conference that the remains belonged to Norma Pacheco, 39.

The sheriff’s office received several tips from families hoping that the body was that of their loved one, Salazar said. Those tips and DNA evidence examined by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office were used to identify Pacheco, he said.

Pacheco’s remains were at Government Canyon at least a week before they were found, Salazar said, but police could not connect her remains to the location.

Salazar described Pacheco as a “free spirit.” “Unfortunately family would sometimes go weeks without seeing her, which is probably one of the main reasons why she wasn’t reported as missing,” he said.

While Salazar said investigators don’t know how she died, he believes Pacheco’s death was a homicide."

I wonder where she was last seen?

Wonder if she was local to far west Bexar County or if she was from another part of town? Or was she doing something in that part of town? (Not too far from Alamo Ranch)

Highway 211 is really "out there"...Someone who knows the terrain probably did this
