The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is in the midst of searching for an endangered adult female and we need the community’s assistance in locating her.

On Tuesday, August 24, 2021 between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., the victim left her residence located in the 600 block of Radnor Lane and has not returned.

The victim is showing early signs of dementia and we are actively searching for her to ascertain her safety.

The victim has been identified as:

Name: Maria Agustina Martinez Masso
Age: 76
Race/Sex: Hispanic/ Female
Height/Weight: 5’3/ 150Ibs.
Hair/Eyes: Brown/ Salt and Pepper
Clothing: Floral Pink nightgown

Anyone having seen or who may know the location of Ms. Martinez Masso is asked to immediately call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office continues to actively search for Maria Martinez Masso, last seen in the area of Crystal Springs Road and Chaffee Road on August 24, 2021, at approximately 1:00 p.m. wearing a long Brown skirt and a Beige top, we are asking our community to remain vigilant and our media partners to continue to share the provided updates in an effort to locate Ms. Martinez-Masso.

Due to the amount of time Ms. Martinez-Masso has been missing, we are concerned for her safety and we are asking for the community’s help.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office continues to actively search for Maria Martinez-Masso. We are asking our community in the area of Chaffee Road, Crystal Springs Road and Pritchard Road to review any surveillance available August 24, 2021, paying particular attention between the hours of 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for any possible sightings. Ms. Martinez-Masso was last seen wearing what appears to be a Yellow top.
Due to the length Ms. Martinez-Masso has been missing we are concerned for her safety.
Anyone having seen or who may know the location of Ms. Martinez-Masso is asked to immediately call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500 or 911.

Police said she was last seen about 1 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Crystal Springs and Chaffee roads. They said the woman -- who was described as being 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds -- was last seen wearing what appears to be a yellow top.

Amber Bird told News4Jax that’s around the same time she spotted Martinez Masso near the Winn-Dixie on Chaffee Road.

“I saw her walking down the sidewalk on Crystal Springs, going towards Winn-Dixie,” Bird recounted. “I noticed she had a suitcase with her and she happened to leave the suitcase and then walked down the street.”

Is she changing clothes that many times or maybe until the video was found and they changed the clothing. It’s sad though that she could have been overlooked because of the incorrect clothing description.
