Deceased/Not Found SC - Deidre Reid, 41, driving to Charlotte NC to drop off a man, Pageland, 3 Sep 2021 *Arrest*

A bit more info (9/10).

Reid’s family said she was headed to the bus station to drop off the father of her youngest child. Officials said that man has ties to the Burke County, Georgia area.

Reid has three young children who haven’t seen her in almost a week. They said their mother is loving and nurturing, and it’s not like her to just disappear without saying a word.

“We still haven’t heard from our sister. She hasn’t called to talk to her kids or anything, and we know that’s strange,” her brother James Reid said.

Police said they’ve questioned the man Reid drove to the bus station, but at this point he is not a suspect or a person of interest in the case.

@GuyfromCanada From your post it sounds like she/they did make it to the bus station. If this is true they need to report a different timeline. IMO

The article @GuyfromCanada linked includes the following info regarding bus station:
According to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia, Reid never made it to the bus station in Charlotte, and her cellphone has been going straight to voicemail.

It appears LE still feels she never made it (based on this Sept 10 article).

I'm having a hard time understanding this case somehow. It must have something to do with mixing up SC and Georgia, Burke county, or the way things are stated in the media. Or is this just me? Re-reading

Last seen in Pageland, SC (Chesterfield county)
Heading to a Greyhound bus station in Charlotte, NC (Mecklenburg county) Why Charlotte in another state? Aren't there Greyhound bus stations closer to Pageland or is Charlotte, the closest.

According to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia, Reid never made it to the bus station in Charlotte.
How do they know?
Are they only involved because the man she was driving there has ties to the Burke County, Georgia area. I'm not sure why this is even relevant if they really mean Georgia.

Or, do they mean Burke County Sheriff's office in NC and the Georgia thing is a media mix-up. That would make sense,
but is still no logical explanation, why she would drive up to Charlotte (1 hour drive form Pageland) Does the father of her child live there or was he planning to travel from there to the Burke county, NC area?

If she never made it to Charlotte, as officers state, she must have been missing between Pageland and Charlotte somewhere or maybe even never started the trip. Did her children see her leave? I don't understand what the father of her child, who she would supposedly driven to Charlotte, NC, says about it.....What could be a logical story he has. Did she kick him out of the car along the way?

:( Actually still don't understand......I hope LE can figure it out

Sorry, edited a few times.

Father of son was planning to take the bus to Atlanta, from Charlotte, he lives in Georgia. Car was last seen at the greyhound bus station. LE is trying to get access to other CCTV-footage in the area. Since then father hasn't checked in to ask about his son. He is not considered a suspect or POI.

She left 3 young children at home alone to take the father of one child to the bus station?

Or are they staying with her brother?

I’m confused.....

The Greyhound station in Charlotte is the closest to Pageland. She was dropping off her son's father, he was suppose to catch a bus back to Georgia, which is where he lives(in Georgia). Her children did see her leave with him, her children are the ones that took a picture of the tag before she left. It wasn't confirmed if she actually made it to the bus station. However, he did make it to the bus station and actually received a refund on his bus ticket. This was confirmed by CMPD. It was on the video footage that was received from the bus station. When he was last seen on the video footage, it was confirmed that he was on the passenger side of the vehicle.
