Just to add to dotrs media post, here is the video showing when the O'L party was leaving their dinner party. Note that Linda is NOT the woman in white who is first shown, Linda is the last to board the boat, after the female guest and Kevin, and she kicks off from the dock.June 21 2021
''Footage from surveillance cameras show Linda O'Leary's speedboat collision. The first camera is the view from Irv Edwards' cottage. The second camera is the view from a security camera at the dock of the O'Leary cottage on Aug. 24, 2019, the night of a fatal collision on Ontario's Lake Joseph. In the middle of the background the light moving from left to right is the O'Learys' speedboat. It drives past what was described as the fixed point of light on an island behind them and then suddenly stops and bounces back. Court heard this was the moment of impact with a boat where two people were killed. Court has focused on whether the second boat was adequately lit at the time. The boat is only visible on the video after the crash, when lights suddenly appear.''

I noticed it looks like Kevin climbs in at the front of the boat and Linda pushes off from the back, then steps forward and I can't quite tell if she goes to sit down or continues to step toward the front of the boat.
It's a bow-rider boat, with extra seating at the front.. to me it looks like LO boards right behind her driver's seat at the 'front' (which is more like in the middle) and sits down.. KO sits in the front beside her, instead of in the back like he had upon arrival - he said during testimony that he was a second set of eyes (a 'lookout') for his wife when it was dark, and he couldn't see the boat either, until after they'd hit it and it then turned its lights on.I noticed it looks like Kevin climbs in at the front of the boat and Linda pushes off from the back, then steps forward and I can't quite tell if she goes to sit down or continues to step toward the front of the boat.
Kevin O’Leary’s last-minute ‘confession’ made the Crown case at his wife’s trial, prosecutor says
While defence lawyer Brian Greenspan said he called the 67-year-old, one-time Conservative Party leadership hopeful in order to exonerate his wife, Adam said his testimony did the opposite by revealing the couple was not looking out for unlit objects on the water the night of Aug. 24, 2019.
The O’Leary vessel struck a drifting boat, a Super Air Nautique, filled with stargazing passengers. Two seated in the bow died.
That happened because the O’Learys wrongly assumed “that if they didn’t see any lights, there was nothing in their way,” which is in clear contravention of the collision regulations in the Shipping Act, he said.
“If you’re boating in pitch black conditions, you cannot make assumptions of what may or may not be in front of you,” Adam said. And even if the Nautique’s lights were out at the time of the collision, the accused’s driving conduct was still careless, he argued.
“The collision and deaths... are the unfortunate and tragic consequences of Ms. O’Leary’s carelessness.”
....
The judge had only one question at the end of Adam’s submissions. He wanted to know if Richard Ruh, the operator of the Nautique, was also charged with careless boat operation. Ruh pleaded guilty to failing to display a navigational light.
Adam told the judge he wasn’t involved in the charging decisions.

Justice Richard Humphrey said he will return with his decision Sept. 14. ...

Now, let’s see if those star gazers get charged. How about their testimony under oath as well…
They pled guilty for not having navigational lights. I'm quite certain the OPP and Crown knew their evidence was weak and were just paving the way for insurance settlements and lawsuits that have already been initiated.
