A camping trip, THIS “camping” trip, was not just a camping trip under these circumstances. There is too much going on here to render it just that. And by too much going on, I mean all the actions that point to BL and his parents’ guilt in this case.

We will have to disagree, and as of now, there's no way to know who's correct because the FBI sure isn't going to tell us:) But MOO I refuse to believe that the FBI didn't know about this camping trip until yesterday especially after serving search warrants at the home.

I asked the North Port PD spokesperson this morning why they keep coming back to Carlton Reserve in the search for #BrianLaundrie… are dogs sniffing out leads? Response: “I can't speak to anything other than his parents say this is where he went. It's just such a large area.”

Let's just say they're searching the reserve based solely on the information provided by the parents. One would assume the FBI made the parents fully aware of the consequences of lying and obstructing the investigation. Which begs the question, are the parents the type of people who would potentially sacrifice their own freedom to protect their son?

I understand they were the ones who wanted to speak to the FBI about their missing son. However, if I were trying to protect someone I certainly would make every effort to have LE buy into anything except the truth.

People were protesting outside their house, their phones would have been going crazy and news crews set up outside. Maybe they went away to get away from that. Again we don't know the dates, so can only speculate. But it may have just been a trip.

It also could have been a way to try and get out of him what happened. I assume that the story he told them didn't seem plausible. Maybe they knew what he did, and they went on one last trip before he turned himself in, and then he backed out and fled when he got home. Hence the parents calling the FBI and the cancelled lawyers press conference.

I don't knw if this has already been discussed, this thread has moved so fast, but is there some reason why there seems to be so little speculation on BL being in another country that has no extradition to the USA? Is it possible his parents mentioned the park/reserve as a red herring? Is it possible that they may have just put him on a plane soon after he came home and before GP was even listed as a missing person?

That would make the most sense. The parents bought a one-way ticket to a European country with no extradition.
THen point to the reserves of Florida to keep LE/FBI busy wasting their time. (Just a theory.)

Bringing this forward so we can keep the thread open...Specifically, refer to who we can sleuth.

The threads are moving so fast I literally can't keep up and get anything else done. Has it been mentioned that the truck-bed camper at the home was purchased after BL returned from Wyoming?. I thought I read this somewhere and didn't know if it was true.

I did not know that. The only mention of that thing was from interview with neighbors across the street. Only the husband saw the Laundries packing the thing. Wife just commented on what he told her. A lot of uncertainties in his narrative too. He could not PinPoint dates of camp trip They had just moved into neighborhood at beginning of summer.

But he seemed certain that they did fill the camper shell with stuff one day. And that all 3 drove off in it. When ? Where did they go? Did BL even go with them entire trip or was he dropped off somewhere while parents camped? When did they return? Was BL in the vehicle when they returned? Has ANYONE seen BL since when that neighbor saw him leave with parents in truck snd camper? A lot of questions.

Everytime I look at their Spotify there are new edits.
It's possible mom or dad have access but it keeps changing. None of the playlists have titles now. I hope LE is keeping an eye on it.

Spotify adds songs to playlists on its own to playlists on free accounts as a (unpopular) feature. The titles were automatically removed when people reported them.

Brian Laundrie is 'well equipped' to survive MONTHS in the 25,000-acre nature reserve | Daily Mail Online
Gabby Petito's best friend reveals he's gone off the grid before and lived in the Appalachians by himself

    • Gabby Petito's best friend Rose Davis revealed in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com that Laundrie is well equipped to survive in the reserve
    • Davis said Laundrie lived in the Appalachians for three months by himself

Well this is most interesting. I suspected BL has gone off-grid far more than anyone here was giving him credit for. IMO he's an extreme loner that has been wandering the wilderness for quite some time and is quite skilled at survival. Which accounts for the "no friends" prior to Gabby and also his focus on the "vanlife" trip was obviously centered around "DISCONNECTING" where as Gabby's was documenting everything and being on the internet which obviously bothered him.

I wish this friend was more clear on if he spent three months in "the Appalachian mountains" or hiking the Appalachian trail.

I have my own crazy story about going into the wilderness and surviving. I basically went in the first time with zero skills, zero experience and no supplies. Its not that difficult and isn't as a hard as people believe. Any average intelligence person can easily survive in the wild. It's in our DNA, we have been doing that way longer than living in society. Some places are more difficult than others and I've been all over doing it since the first time but its not that difficult. I just wanted to put that out there because I see so many people assuming it's a death sentence except for the highly trained outdoorsman and it's not. If he is dead its because he wanted to be dead imo
The difference on whether it is hard or not IMO is if you have food available or if you have to hunt/gather. Does BL have those skills or would he have to rely on caches, shopping, stealing etc. Don't know.

Please, tell the location of your wilderness experience so it can be put into context.

The difficulty is living off the land AND staying hidden.

Straight away that means no fires, no shooting, no leaving any signs
