Found Safe NV - Reatha Finkbonner, 30, trip with fiancé and friends to Las Vegas, 3 Sep 2021

There are at least two reasons she could have used messenger to try and contact her friends. One, she doesn’t know her friends phone numbers by heart or two, she is accustomed to using messenger through wifi because she normally has a phone but doesn’t have an active phone plan to call and text.

If the boyfriend got home the same day, that means he checked out of the hotel and left very early in the morning. It’s a long day of driving to get from Vegas to Washington. Who were the other friends who stuck around for some time looking for her? They have to know more than has been published so far.

The above says it all.

He returned home the SAME day she disappeared? His fiance, the woman he had gone to Vegas to marry? Meanwhile the friends stayed behind looking for him and he's back home .. Doing what? What was the rush? What is his version of events?
He should be leading the efforts to find her.
so maybe he could have flown, because the drive is 18 hours. if he had to get to airport 90 minutes before flight is it possible he had no clue she was in distress as he we in the airport or in the air and his phone was off?

Nikki Finkbonner, Reatha's aunt says she was told Reatha got into a car with a couple of women on the morning of Sept. 3.

If she got into an uber or hired car is there usually more than just the driver in the car? I live in a small town so never used uber or Lyft. We call a limo company that takes you anywhere in town for 5 dollars lol there's never anyone but the driver in it when they pull up.

(Edit - I don't know how to fix the quote -- response to Sd8503)

In some areas Uber offers share-a-ride services. It is especially popular for rides to the airport. I can see that it could be a popular service in Las Vegas with people traveling back and forth among the casinos.

Caveat: I haven't actually tested this myself. But I'm pretty sure that all she would need to log into Messenger from anywhere is a web browser and her login info for Facebook. Once you're in Facebook you can access Messenger.

It would let her use wifi instead of a calling plan, which makes sense on a stranger's phone because she wouldn't be using the good samaritan's data. And in front of the hotel, she almost certainly could get a wifi signal.

So that part makes sense to me.

There are some interesting comments about this disappearance and claims of who could be responsible if you type in RF's name in a hashtag under Search on FB. Of course, it cannot be printed here, but I would think LE is aware of comments being made there, hopefully.

under what article? there's like a million of them
and the hashtag only shows one?

Well, a new twist in the case.

LUMMI NATION, Wash. - A 30-year-old indigenous mother of two is no longer considered missing or endangered, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says. However family say they still consider her missing.

According to LVMPD, Reatha May Finkbonner was arrested on Sept. 1 for possession of narcotics and is facing three charges of possession. She was released on her own recognizance Sept. 2.

Detectives with the police department say they spoke with Finkbonner's family and friends and have determined that she is not in danger. Family disagree saying police are only no longer considering her missing because of her drug use.

Ugh :( I agree with her family, drug use or not, she may definitely be in danger. How do they consider her not? Does she have a safe place to sleep, means to survive, and what about her children? I understand that she's an adult and if she wants to use drugs, sleep on the streets, that's up to her - BUT mental illness and drug problems are not taken seriously enough.

We've seen lots of women have their missing cases swept under the rug due to bad decisions and then we find them deceased somewhere.

It makes more sense from the fiance's standpoint on why he would 'just leave' ...is he the father of the children?

I agree, how would the police know that Reatha is not in danger? Does she know anyone in Las Vegas? Perhaps her fiance got angry when he found out that Reatha was arrested with drugs (and possibly using again?) and that's why he left without looking for her?

Or maybe it was his drugs she got caught with and he was afraid he’d get busted too? Or he was ticked off over the loss of the drugs? Does anyone know the amount of drugs drugs she was arrested with? How did she happen to get arrested? I’m guessing she wasn’t carrying much if they let her out on her own recognizance. This doesn’t seem like enough of a reason to drop out of sight from one’s family.

wow, interesting. I had mentioned prior she was in training for addiction counseling, and sometimes the counselors have had an addiction struggle. I think that she was vulnerable and fell off that wagon. It might explain why her fiance left her. Why is she still considered missing but not endangered? I know it was asked prior.

Article linked above states she not considered missing by police. I believe its her family still considering her missing.

I wonder if police in Vegas have made contact with her and that's why they dont consider her missing? If they did and shes just doin what she wants would they say so or would they just say Shes no longer missing?
