MOO, I think this is why they haven't been brought in for questioning. I think LE is leaving them be hoping they will eventually try to make some sort of contact, if not with BL, then with someone else who is as they say is a "Who's who in the zoo" inner circle. But, I don't see the Laundries slipping up now after having been so careful.

Same with the new phone. IMO it's useless to LE and was purchased so it could be useless. There is nothing on it. The phone they need is elsewhere. And, even records won't help if AT&T is a new provider to BL, which I am guessing they are because the Laundries were not being dumb here, IMO. On the contrary, this seems very well thought out. MOO. I do not believe anyone in the Laundrie household used that phone to contact Brian after they reported him missing. I think they are far too slick, or they think they are at least. I do think there is a chance they used it before - to establish some sort of baseline that this was "his only phone" from that point forward.. MOO.

One would think so. However, we wouldn't know it, if they had found a gun and are now looking for a gator...

I agree with you - I think they knew something was terribly wrong.

I guess he might not have realized that one out of three people in or near a National Park is a youtuber, TikTok user or reddit poster.

Actually, I think he did not have a clue when he parked there, that he would be leaving without Gabby.

Possibly, didn't somebody in the area says they thought it was a strange place to park and camp, it wasn't much of a parking space, and there were other spots more open and cleared for camping.

The door closing as the Youtuber drove up and past, was it just Brian? did he just pull up there to dump her there did he lure her into the woods or were they there and they started arguing ...

I'm of the opinion that it was more nefarious than not. 5% chance they truly had no clue. The whole Mustang fiasco is just plain hinky...and they have their attorney repeatedly stating they retuned it to the driveway on Thursday when everyone knows it was there Wednesday morning (at the latest). Also, since it was in an unauthorized spot, how did they manage to find it on Tuesday so easily? The citation on it was around 2 Tuesday afternoon as abandoned vehicle....I wonder if LE called them and told them to remove it??? My guess is that they moved it late Tuesday night which is why reporters didn't see it in the driveway 'til Wednesday morning. Just my thoughts! jmo
BBM

Where has it been said it was in an unauthorized spot? The only thing I ever found was the incident report stating it was an abandoned vehicle. The address of the abandoned vehicle was the address of Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park. Leads me to believe it was there BEFORE Tuesday, as NPPD would hardly bother themselves to put a notice on a car that had only been parked there for 6 hours at most (Park opens at 6am, and has a gate that is locked/unlocked at open and close). Especially since the WFLA report from 9/13 in front of the house, there was no Mustang.

The FBI have launched a million dollar manhunt for the 23-year-old

Jennifer Shen, a former director of the San Diego Police Department's Crime Lab, told The Sun exclusively: "I think Brian’s parents have exhibited very odd behavior. It appears they know where he is, or where he went at least.

"Their home is fair game for searching, as it is a potential crime scene, and the [alleged] suspect lives there.

"It does appear the parents were complicit in his disappearance, although we may never know.

"The cars are also evidence, as they may point to where Brian was last seen by his parents, and therefore give some indication as to where he may have gone.

Thank you for this!!!!

I thought that article well balanced. Thanks.
I felt it didn’t say much. The lows went Rock bottom when Gabby was killed but I’m thinking the friend meant they broke up. Yes, they went from being engaged to get married to breaking up and then from moving into a van together on this trip to…death and disappearance

Multiple #Laundrie neighbors say they’re fed up with the protesters. “We hate them as much as we hate the Laundries now,” one homeowner tells Fox News. Another says he’s undergoing chemotherapy and the ruckus is disrupting his wife’s work from home.

A few days ago I mentioned that I felt terrible for the neighbors and someone was like, “whatever the neighbors WANT the protestors there! They agreed to this!!”

Somehow I knew that wasn’t true for all of them…. These people deserve the right to enjoy their homes in peace.

Oh wow. I was just looking at articles with quotes from their high school classmates; but they were all prior to Gabby being found dead - they were from when she was missing.

Just one thought here. Since they didn't date in high school that likely means that she dated others, more suitable, maybe more like her, while he was probably the loner guy in high school, whom she passed over. I don't know, just thinking out loud.

I'd say Brian's family is primarily concerned about suicide. That's been my focus, too. But I think Brian has given a lot of thought to solo survival and what he'd do and where.

I remember solar panels in an Instagram photo. They're too big to comfortably strap to a backpack, but he knows how to use them.

An axe, knife, paracord and water purification are really all he needs. He can survive without a way to purify water, but giardia can severally dehydrate you, and untreated it can seriously compromise your health. You can make your own water purifier from different grits of sand and gravel and other found materials. Iodine drops and store bought filters only last so long.

We know Brian eats fish. An Instagram story shows him cooking salmon. You'd have to have a camp set up and some basic skills to know how to smoke, salt or dry fish for storage. It doesn't store for very long.

I know how to start a fire with a flint, magnification from a water bottle or eyeglasses, and friction, three different methods. It takes practice, but it's not difficult. He can burn a fire for cooking and warmth when it's dark, but smoke drift would be a concern. A rock formation or shallow cave would help protect the orange glow from being visible overhead.

Blueberries, cranberries, Labrador tea, rosehips for Vitamin C, plantain as a healing salve. The forests along the Appalachian Trail are brimming with food and medicine. There are books on AT foraging.

I had a cabin and a wood stove and would wake up with ice on my blankets, exhausted from the cold. The comforts of shelter only do so much to keep you safe. It's hard work and there's a lot to figure out.

It's not impossible, though.

As for people making fun of Brian for not wearing shoes, he's not alone in this. And for years my water bottle was a recycled glass jar until I bought a stainless steel Yeti. It's easy poking fun at something you don't understand or haven't experienced for yourself.
SO, was all this cool camping gear in that little backpack that his parents said he had on for his little day hike at the reserve? Or was there a bunch of stuff stashed in the trunk of the Mustang, that they did not see? What was he wearing? Was he a passenger in the Mustang and was dropped off somewhere near the reserve? I don't remember if they SAID that he drove the Mustang, or if they said he went in the Mustang.....which can mean that he didn't necessarily DRIVE it. Picky-picky, I know. But I'm curious. jmo ETA if he was actually dropped off...the driver would know if he retrieved a load of camping equipment from the trunk......for a long-term hiking and camping agenda.

...and when they find him, if alive (and i think he is ), they will hope to learn, whether he had anything to do with her death, and if so, was it involuntary manslaughter, like a crime of passion, or premeditation, or intentional. Am i right or watching too much ID TV?
MOO, he blew any involuntary defense by his subsequent actions. But, this does not stop a defense counsel from asserting it. MOO

Curious why would LE tell them to ignore Dog?
Dog is trying to find their son for them?
ACc to Dog, LE not sharing info with them. MOO, they would tell family not to be sharing info with all the individuals who might want to join the show but would turn into a free for all that could impede LE efforts.
And then there is their lawyer who seems to be calling the shots. Doubt he’d be advising them to give out info. , clothing etc to Dog or anyone

Nobody pays 1.5 million for a bit of embarrassment!

The government apparently does. Think about cost of resources that would be wasted if they continued because they missed finding BL’s body. They must have believed he was in the swamp. The swamp required specialists due to extreme terrain and environmental hazards.

As a point of reference, can anyone estimate what the FBI may have spent on the search for Molly Tibbets? That search went on for weeks in much easier terrain. I believe they also utilized public search volunteers. Even then, it was the murderer that led them to the body.

Well they had to report him.missing !
He left! What would they tell the sheriff when they came!
They had to!
This confuses me.

He's a grown adult. He can come and go as he pleases. They did not have to report him missing.

I will agree with "What would they tell the sheriff when they came!"

Yep, because if they didn't it makes them look pretty guilty, this is my own opinion, but they still look guilty.

There is a bounty out there. Let the bounty hunters go at it. There are some cases out there that deserve more attention than this at this point.
But, IMO, unlike a lot of cases, here we have a name, and a face, and information, and flight, and a potential family assistance dynamic, and this is why I think there is so much interest - because we know more than we do about others. And, this was not a result of media alone, it was a result of Brian himself, by his actions. MOO

Im.talking about what this person was into.
His interests
Not what he's done!
Geeez

I feel ya. It seems that many people feel that they need to dehumanize/minimalize BL in order to accept that someone just as normal as you and me can kill someone. And in the process, they trash a lot of causes that people who haven't killed anyone strongly believe in. And about his hypocrisy, I don't think you can find a human that isn't hypocritical about something.

"Update: Following up on ALL leads. I HAVE seen the two leads coming out of FDS campsite. & the woman who’s husband believes he spoke to her. (later she corrected to "spoke to him.") We are working on confirming these. Thank you to our tipsters !"

Lyssa is referring to two leads from the Fort De Soto campsite and then a woman who posted a lead that her husband spoke to BL last night on a secluded road near the Pigeon River in Tennessee which is part of the Appalachian trail. As she says, she is working on confirming the leads. These remain unconfirmed at this time.

Yeah, good luck with that. The FBI will follow this through until all tips/leads are followed up on. If there were other cases this fresh with this many tips, they would be working on them as well. Each state has a federal FBI office that can work on cases. Just because LE/FBI are working around the clock on this case does not mean that others are being neglected. IMO.

Also possible is that their lawyer gave LE an undertaking that BL was at his folks address but using his 5th.
B skips, lawyer needs to do something ..
