So I’ve noticed a lot of people saying that the laundries are hurting too. IMO I keep going back to one thought, they let their son be missing for 3/4 days before reporting him missing, without his wallet or phone and don’t forget the deserted car they were also aware of the media circus happening surrounding gabby being missing/deceased, wouldn’t the thought of suicide cross any parents mind? how could your first thought as a parent not be to get on the phone that night they didn’t return or as soon as they found the car. Doesn’t matter if they’re an experienced hiker/camper who goes of for days (this isn’t a normal situation)or if they’re an adult or not they’re your child, you would report them missing. As a mother of a 19 year old and say hypothetically they were in this situation I’d be worried sick that they’d hurt themselves out of guilt. Apparently they searched for him and didn’t find him, also another red flag to be concerned and report to the police. JMO

Edit just to add whether they think he’s guilty or not they knew what was happening in the media and to not report for 3/4 days is utterly bizarre to me IMO

Anyone know anything about DTBH? Not heard or read anything.

My response:
Last I saw was BabyL putting up a tweet with a photo of more dribble from SB. Now he is claiming CL searched for BL on 9/13/21 for 4-5 hrs-you know, on that day the Laundrie’s couldn’t correctly remember the last time they sawBL cuz they were incorrectly associating his presence with other events?
Even this latest claim by the atty seems off. Consider: if BL went out for a hike early Monday morning(9/13/21) how long would he have to be gone before the parents thought hmmm, maybe we should go take a peek? And then they still had 4-5 hrs of daylight still left to stroll around the reserve?

try again SB.

Brian Entin Thread:

1/3 New Laundrie attorney Mr. Bertolino statement: "Today Chris Laundrie accompanied members of law enforcement into the Reserve to show them the trails and places Chris and Brian have hiked and which Brian was known to frequent. There were no discoveries but the effort was...

2/3 helpful to all. It seems the water in the Preserve is receding and certain areas are more accessible to search. The entire Laundrie family is grateful for the hard work of the dedicated members of law enforcement...

3/3 that have been searching the Preserve for Brian over the last few weeks. Hopefully Brian will be located soon."

re the keystone kops Brian Entin livestream car chase, the simplest explanation was that CL wanted to go somewhere, but didn't want to be followed, maybe a friend's house, or who knows who? The cops tried to block BE, but he caught up with CL. At that point CL pulled over to call whoever he was heading to visit and said 'I can't come, I've got media following me'. Then he went home instead.

If someone I know, or even barely know, is texting and calling telling me their child is missing, and I don't respond, would feel like I was being cold-hearted and downright weird IMO

But this situation goes further than that and is even worse. Gabby's family was asking for responses from the people who Gabby lived with. And the parents of the person she was travelling with. Asking if they had seen Brian or Gabby.
You didn't ask a question but I'll attempt anyway...
UBM
In this situation, how you feel about yourself is not the priority. Gabby was already gone. Her parents were not going to get relief from anything the Ls could tell them. They had to choose between their own child and answers for the GP family. It may be ugly but it's not a difficult decision.

This was just as I predicted he would state....

Can’t imagine why CL was asked to be there today. Trails & fav spots can be marked on a map & items/knots/set-up can be id’d with photos. Really perplexed.

All I got from today’s aerial footage of T Mabry Carlton Reserve/ Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park is that it would be of high interest to the producers of Naked & Afraid. If they shoot a season there, perhaps contestants will eventually find BL between the drop off & extraction points. At this point, this may be the best hope of tracking him down- if he’s really still there. What a bummer of a nothinburger day. Imo.

Yes, but BL may have told his parents they broke up & GP didn't want to talk to her parents about it yet. That she'd call them when she was ready. So his parents may not have listened to the messages left to know she was "missing." We just don't know what they knew or what they thought they knew. And while GP and BL had lived with them, they were adults...adults capable of planning a 4-month+ meandering tour of national parks. Young but not that young.
JMO

I find it a hard stretch that not one of them would have returned a call out of courtesy, if nothing else, if they didn't have reason to believe that Brian had done something they would need to be very careful about.

As a parent, I believe I'd have called my kid's bluff if he came back solo, told me whatever, even said "please don't talk to them/bad breakup," but then I started getting contacted by his gf's family.

At a minimum - hey, Bri, this is rude. I'm not doing this to these people. Tell me what's what or I'm getting on the phone with them right nah.

5 minutes later: where the HECK is that idiot attorney's number? Geez, I hate that guy, but we've got no choice at this point. Brian, go to your room. Now!

but possibly not in relation to Gabby?

Wasn’t it the day her dad informed the police that he needed her looked in on? The cops went there for the wellness check and found out her van was there but she was not? The cop informed her dad that the van was there but she was not, and her dad made a formal missing person report which was officially filed 9/11? This is how I’ve always understood it.

I'm pondering (and maybe overthinking) what today's actions were all about. Why would they take CL on foot, no protective gear at all, no waders , no boots just ordinary street clothes. If they think BL is armed and they were fearing suicide or a shootout with LE wouldn't they have given both him and his escort some bullet proof vests or something. If they feel that BL's state of mind is such that he may become violent or that his mental status is compromised due to dehydration, lack of sleep , hunger etc, they can't know that he wouldn't just shoot whoever gets near him! So then maybe they *weren't* expecting to come across BL at all but then what reason would they have for bringing CL there? If it was items they wanted identified it could have been done with a picture. His favorite hiking areas could be marked on a map so no need to bring him there for those reasons. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what could only be accomplished by CL's physical presence at the site.
*Distraction* though from what or whom, I have no idea. I am assuming though, that not ALL the media followed Mr L to the reserve and back and that some stayed at the house?

Based off the newest Dr Phil episodes, they found out about the van being there on the 11th. If the police had gone there on the 10th they would have relayed the info to Gabby's parents that the van was in the driveways wouldn't you think? They only went there on the 11th. JMO
Her mom said "that's when I got the feeling Gabby was gone; the day we found out the van was in the driveway"

If WFLA is live just now could someone share the link for their stream? I have an afternoon full of time today I don't care if I ever get back. Thanks!

I agree with most of what you say, BUT, we do not know what was usual for BL when hiking. Did he typcally hike a trail for 2-3 days at a time or was it more likely to be day trips? If it was the former, it could explain the delay in reporting him missing. I also wonder whether it was typical for him to leave his phone at home. I would imagine that any type of hiking would require some form of communication in case of emergency - but it could be that there is no cell phone receiption at the reserve? Did he had a walkie talkie type thing?

From the previous thread

Isn't that the point of "dispersed camping"? It means camping outside of a designated campground.

Dispersed camping is the term used for camping anywhere in the National Forest OUTSIDE of a designated campground. Dispersed camping means no services; such as trash removal, and little or no facilities; such as tables and fire pits, are provided. Some popular dispersed camping areas may have toilets.

So yes, outside of a designated campground, but even with dispersed camping, some places have designated camping areas. I think spread creek had numbered campsites.

Fishlake National Forest - Recreation

Yes, there were designated camping spots @ Spread Creek is my understanding it was brought up by somebody who was camping there and was interviewed.

Somebody previously brought up perhaps he parked there for access to the area and it was away from others prying eyes. I'd like to see those designated spots on the map in relation to where the van is and where Gabby was found. Might not mean anything might mean alot.

iirc, GP’s van was parked between site 5 and site 6. Moo

I think the same thing but, it may be to lure him out if he is there. It's what I would do.

Viewing possible evidence that cannot be moved from the site. For example, does BL have a specific way to setup camp? My understanding is CL was taken in there to view a campsite that had been recently used and assume to see if CL could identify it as BL's way of doing things.

I consider myself pretty fair minded and I’d like to believe the Laundrie parents are good people with a troubled son.
But with that said no way can I understand them not returning the phone calls from Gabby’s parents. Putting two and two together they had to know or guessed something was amiss with Gabby.
Even if they had answered the phone and said Brian is here but Gabby isn’t or if they didn’t know even saying the kids had a fight and we have no idea what’s going on!
Anything would have been better than the nothing!

They got texts and emails apprising them that GP’s family had not heard from her. They knew immediately that there was a problem. Likely confronted their son , and realizing that there was a big problem. So they called an attorney they knew for advice. Then they followed it. That is what you are supposed to do in these situations.

We have no idea what BL told them or didn’t tell them. The Laundrues had nothing good to tell GP’s family. It would have just been an inflammatory conversation with absolutely no good news. At best, Gabby was missing. Which the GP’s family knew and reported.

This is really on BL. But he likely could not say what he knew without getting into more trouble with the law. Gabby was likely dead by then snd he knew it. Otherwise he’d have said she had gone off with someone else. It makes no sense that he did not report her missing and just left. It’s pretty obvious that he knew there was nothing good to report and only would cause more trouble.
