PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) - The Phelps County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help with finding a missing woman.

April D. Werner was reported missing on Oct. 6. Authorities say she was last seen in rural Phelps County on Oct. 5, possibly driving a black 2011 Ford Escape with Missouri license plate number XA4-F4U.

Werner is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 135 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

According to a Facebook post, April D. Werner, also known as April Saunders of St. Louis, was last seen in rural Phelps County on October 5 and may be driving a black 2011 Ford Escape with a Missouri plate: XA4-F4U.

Saunders is 5’8″, 135 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

The Phelps County Sheriff’s Department is attempting to find her and would like anyone with information to contact Detective Alex Maurer at 573-426-3860 or the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department Tip Line at 573-426-2936.

April Dawn Werner was last seen at the 12000 block of Prairie Lake Road, Rolla, Missouri, in the middle of the night, on October 5, 2021. April is possibly wearing a blue flannel shirt, blue jeans, and a dark colored baseball cap. She suffers from medical conditions and may not have her medicine with her. She is known to be driving a black, 2011 Ford Escape VIN 1FMCU0D7XBKA68236 bearing Missouri license plate XA4F4U. April resides in St. Louis, Missouri, but was staying with a friend in Rolla, Missouri. She might have traveled to Denver, Colorado, or Florida.
If anyone has information regarding April Dawn Werner’s whereabouts
please contact the Phelps County Sheriff’s Office at 573-426-3860.

She was right on Interstate 44 -- she could get far away quickly.

If she went west into Oklahoma, LE could check the turnpike cameras?
