Caucasian male. Brown hair, brown eyes. Duck has an olive complexion.

He has a tattoo of dark-winged duck on the left side of his chest and a colored dragon tattoo on his left thigh.

He has a surgical scar on the center of his chest as the result of childhood open-heart surgery and a scar down the front of his left leg.

He smoked menthol cigarettes in 1995; his favorite brand was Newport.

Details of Disappearance
On the night of February 13, 1995 he had been playing pool and drinking beer at the Billiard Club in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
Duck was serving as a United States Navy electronics technician third class in 1995. He was last seen at approximately 3:30 a.m. on February 14, 1995, about fifty yards from his ship in the vicinity of the United States Naval Station in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

He and another sailor were on their way to their ship at the time.

Duck has never been heard from again. His maroon truck was later found in the port's parking lot; the floor of the vehicle was muddy.

Duck left behind a pregnant wife when he disappeared. She gave birth to his daughter six weeks later. He was devoted to his wife and his relatives and kept in close touch with them, but none of them have heard from him since 1995.

At the time he went missing, Duck was expecting to be discharged from the Navy for medical reasons. He said he was afraid for his life (details at link).

Duck disappeared under suspicious circumstances. The Navy originally listed him as absent without leave (AWOL), but shortly after his disappearance his case was reclassified as a missing person.

Ronald Duck is described as a likable, outgoing person who drinks beer and is known to frequent billiard parlors and bars with pool tables.

Duck's case remains unsolved.

Not much activity or discussion around this case even though it’s quite strange.

It seems like foul play but there aren’t many details other than references to another sailor who was less than honorably discharged because of Ronald’s testimony against him. This sailor apparently threatened Ronald enough to leave him worried for his life, and then he disappears mysteriously after a night out drinking and playing pool. Charley Project mentions he was walking with another sailor when he went missing, and that he was only fifty yards from the ship. An article I found (https://www.sunherald.com/news/local/crime/article199753824.html) goes into further detail says that he literally disappeared between the two security gates at the ship’s entrance. The sailor he was with drove with him through the first gate, but not the second, and told law enforcement that Ronald got out of the car to talk to someone else. And then he’s never seen again.

His family believes he was abducted and that his disappearance was retaliation for Ronald testifying against the other sailor. His father thinks he might have been dumped in a swamp somewhere between Alabama and Mississippi. He and his wife have confronted the sailors they believe know something, but no one will talk. Very sad. I hope that cold case detectives don’t give up on this case. It definitely seems like this one could be solvable and that Ronald and his family could receive some measure of justice.

Too bad Jethro Gibbs is fiction...for a few different reasons....

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - It may be Valentine's Day, but it's also a sad anniversary.

On Valentine's Day 1995, a Navy Sailor Ronald Duck Junior went missing from his homeport in Pascagoula.

Law enforcement officials haven't given up on the case.

One, because they want closure for the family, and two, there still could be a possible murderer on the loose.

"We have some leads we're following up on, and our forensic technology has really advanced in the past 23 years."

Duck, who was a United States Navy Electronics Technician, was last seen 23 years ago at the Navy Homeport just 50 yards away from his ship.

"What we're hoping to do is to refresh some people's memories or mind, and get some folks to come forward with some information. ... We may possibly have a murderer walking loose along the Gulf Coast here somewhere."

Officials said that Duck was afraid for his life having testified against a sailor who was given a less than honorable discharge for drug use.

He left behind a pregnant wife who gave birth soon after he went missing.

"The daughter in this particular case wasn't born until six weeks after her father went missing," Broom said. "So, she's never seen or known her father and, so, I think that weighs heavy on her."
