TMJ4 spoke with Carlton Harris Jr., Major's father over the phone, and he told us he does not know why Major and Major's mother were in Milwaukee. He said they are both from the La Crosse area.

Carlton said Major's mom said she needed help. The last time he spoke to her was a couple weeks ago.

He is now on his way to Milwaukee so he can work closer with investigators who are looking for his son.

Mallery’s stepmother says they do not know how she ended up in Milwaukee. She lives in Onalaska and had texted her dad she was going to Madison. They also have never heard of Jaheem Clark, the person of interest named in the amber alert.

According to Milwaukee police, Harris was last seen on Thursday at approximately 1 p.m. near North 37th and West Clarke streets.
Investigators report Harris was the son of Mallery Muenzenberger, 25, who was found dead in the backyard of a home near North 37th and West Clarke street on Thursday.

According to Milwaukee police, life-saving measures were taken on the scene but Muenzenberger was pronounced dead and had obvious signs of trauma.
Police report Harris could be with Jaheem K. Clark, who was a person of interest in the homicide.

According to court records, Clark is not the boy's biological father.

Police would not say if there was any relationship between Clark and Harris.

UPDATE: Major's father, Carlton Harris Jr., is currently in Milwaukee. He met with investigators at the Sojourner Family Peace Center, but he said he left with more unanswered questions.

Carlton said detectives contacted him, and told him to meet them so they could update him on where the investigation stands.

But, he told TMJ 4, they didn't have any new information on the whereabouts of his three-year-old son, Major or the person of interest Jaheem Clark.

Harris Jr. said a factor in the investigation not picking up speed is the community's lack of faith in the Milwaukee PD, referring to the department as a "joke" and saying they aren't doing their jobs.

"A lot of people here don't have faith in the police department. That's the issue here," Harris Jr. said.

He did go to great lengths to thank community members for their help in both the search for Major and helping him acclimate to Milwaukee and find his way around.
