Another to consider: Maria Anjiras.

Of course you can use my images for comparison anytime. :) And here's Maria's Namus page too. Some more images are there. The UID's eyebrows are different. But they could also be penciled in, like they did in the 1970's.

Angela Meeker is a bit shorter than the UID, and her eyes are listed as hazel but at 13? She certainly would have matched the young appearance. I can see some resemblance. Not sure what would have had her from disappearing in WA on July 7 to LA on the 22nd, but it is possible....

Hoping this UID makes her way into NAMUS. Again, for comparison. I'm not suggesting as a super strong match. Just possible and posting in case others have thoughts.

Kimberly Doss 16yo, last seen in Florida in May of 1979. Again, hazel eyes, but also possible? The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

How do you guys feel about the "blue haze" of eyes after death? I've read about it, and feel maybe those described as green or hazel should be considered/discussed, and if someone is otherwise compelling but listed as brown eyes, maybe? 249622-99feeebd5df0347e66423f067a256d30.jpg Original-1.jpg

OMG.....Could she be Tina Kemp??? I don't know why this didn't click until just now, since I have spent a lot of time here thinking about Tina.

Of all the ones you mentioned, I like Tina the best. She has the overall look. I see a resemblance to Angela and Maria also, but not so much Kimberly. Her face seems “longer” and less round than the UID’s. I still think they all should be ruled out though.

The eyes don’t play a huge factor for me. I have blue eyes and on any given day they could be described as grey or even green. With the postmortem “haze”, I imagine that skews the color also. With the UID’s being listed as hazel, it’s hard for me to overlook a MP with any color if, like you said, the other factors are compelling enough.

I think the UID has blue eyes?

Mine are a similar sort of blue to what you are describing @MadMcGoo I know there are people who if asked might say I had green eyes.

I crossposted this thread to Tina's to see if people posting there have any thoughts. Tina was smaller than this UID is described, but something about it feels very possible to me.

Another young girl. This doesn't seem especially likely given the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, but having read the thread and others where trafficking is mentioned, perhaps?

Julie Moseley. She has light brown hair and blue eyes, and was 9 when she was last seen in Texas a few days before Christmas in 1974.

re: The day prior to her death the woman was observed by a witness knocking on doors at a New Orleans hotel. One of the cards found on her carried the name of a man that was traced back as a guest at a New Orleans hotel. The man was located and told LE that the woman had come to his door and propositioned him for money, however he had refused. The man said the woman had told him she was from out of town. The man was cleared by LE and is not a suspect in the case.

Thinking about this part, while the man may not be responsible for her death, I think he almost certainly took her up on her offer. Otherwise why on earth did she have his business card???

Wonderful recon @coffeeandacig. A girl this young offering sexual services in a hotel most likely has a "boyfriend" or another adult (male or female) making her doing this. Also what I've learned from other cases is that this kind of services were mostly regulated by hotel security staff as "a favor" to certain girls, just not anybody, I mean.

Thanks @Bit of hope !
I get what you are saying about the security staff. I'd assume LE talked at length with them back in the day. But, you never know...

I came across this interesting article.

Pimp nabbed at Metairie, La., motel says he's spent 40 years promoting prostitution

Pimp nabbed at Metairie, La., motel says he's spent 40 years promoting prostitution

Serio was arrested last week and booked with promoting prostitution at a Metairie motel, according to a Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report. He is accused of setting up prostitution dates through two locally based escort agencies, Aabby's Executive Escorts and Adorable Escorts. In statements to detectives, <Ernest> Serio admitted he is no newcomer to the profession, with about 40 years in the illicit escort business, the report said.

Couldn't find a record for the murder, but I guess he was in prison by the time this girl was killed.

Serio's rap sheet is difficult to piece together. Parts of his file with the Department of Corrections were destroyed during Hurricane Katrina, according to Lindsey. Out of the 12 felony convictions that could be confirmed through court and police records, the most serious was a 1976 charge of manslaughter. Serio pleaded guilty to shooting Michael Scarmado, 23, of New Orleans at the Houma Boulevard residence. He claimed he was defending himself against an intruder, but authorities said he shot the man after argument. Serio was sentenced to 21 years in prison.

What I found interesting is this.

Escort services first popped in up in the 1970s with advertisements in the yellow pages. But they began to mushroom in the past two decades with the advent of the of the Internet, Weitzer said. Serio's services were listed on Yellowpages.com.

Does somebody know if there are old yellow pages ads from the old days available on the Internet? Maybe somebody advertised with Interpersonal Connections.

Also have a question. Did she had A. a blanc0 business card from Interpersonal Connections and B. a business card of the man traced back to the hotel? Is this correct?

Not very far from Metairie where this UID was found, on Highway 61 heading to Kenner, was a place known as the Sugar Bowl Motel with a badly faded pink sugar bowl sign, that was still standing and operating in the early 1990s. They had a sign out front " Minimum Stay 15 minutes. Less Than 15 Minutes Stay wil Charged 15 Minute Rate- NO Exceptions. Strictly Enforced."
Reviews of the place on tripadvisor in 2017=2018 are still underwhelming, with unanimous one-star reviews of "terrible."

@MadMcGoo

I lived in Old Metairie a very long time ago for a short period. There's even a street named after my family. ONLY a local would know where Nassau Drive is. Only a Jefferson parish or border between Orleans and Jefferson would know.

Can you please pm me? I have some info that may or may not be relevant and I don’t want to put it on an open forum. Merci
Tony
