In a Montrose PD press release, MPD confirmed police responded to a home in the 100 Block of South San Juan Avenue and spoke with witnesses about the suspected kidnapping. They told investigators that a man arrived, demanding to speak with a woman inside the home, and it was determined the two knew each other.

Witnesses said the man forced the woman from the home and toward a car before leaving the area.

MESA COUNTY, Colo. — The Montrose Police Department (MPD) is looking for a 41-year-old woman who they think might have been kidnapped Wednesday.

Police are looking for Angela O'Neill, who was last seen at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, police said. She has brown hair and brown eyes, is 5-foot 6-inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, police said.

Police said the suspect is 27-year-old Tre Richardson. Tre is 6-foot 4-inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds, according to police.

Richardson is thought to be armed and dangerous and possibly headed to Mesa County, police said. Anyone who sees Richardson should not approach him and should call 911.

TR had a 2016 arrest:

Earlier in the week, Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies said they arrested Tre Richardson, 22, of Grand Junction in connection with the shooting at a convenience store at 3202 E Road.

Deputies said surveillance video and witnesses helped investigators identify the two suspects believed to be involved in Wednesday’s shooting. The sheriff's office said Richardson was identified as the person in the surveillance photo released by the Sheriff's Office Wednesday afternoon.

According to authorities, Richardson was arrested without incident Wednesday evening and charged with Accessory to criminal attempt to commit murder in the first -degree and accessory to assault in the first degree. Richardson is being held on a No Bond Hold.

A warrant for Richardson’s arrest was issued for this case, including offenses for burglary, kidnapping, first-degree criminal trespass, assault, criminal mischief, child abuse and domestic violence.

Although no information from the investigation suggests to investigators Richardson was armed with any weapons, they say he has recent involvement in a case in another jurisdiction where a knife was used in the commission of a crime.

Did anyone else happen to see his last fb post? And click on the person it was directed too?
Looks like she’s been trying to distance herself from him since at least October 7.

Yes I did. The little pointer on my mind's doubt meter that this is going to end well is spinning furiously the other way - if he wasn't so violent it might be different. JMO if he couldn't have her, nobody will.

But there's always the tiniest bit of hope and faith left!

Police locate woman who was missing after reported kidnapping attempt

Angela O’Neill was found safe in Montrose this afternoon, two days after she was reportedly forced from a home and into a vehicle.

Police said she has been located “alive and well.”

Tre Richardson is accused of kidnapping her on Wednesday and driving away with her. He was found and arrested this morning, Nov. 19, in Clifton by Grand Junction and Mesa County SWAT members.

Richardson remains in custody in Mesa County on an allegation of possession of a weapon by a previous offender, according to jail records there and is due in court in Mesa County on Monday. In Montrose, he is suspected of kidnapping and other offenses; a court date is pending.

At 3:35 p.m. Friday, police responded to a residence in the city of Montrose, upon receiving a call from a member of the public, Montrose Police Chief Blaine Hall said. There they found O’Neill uninjured and confirmed her identity.

“Out of respect for her and her family, we will not be issuing any further information at this time,” Hall said.

The case remains under active investigation as a kidnapping, he said.

Hall expressed relief that O’Neill was located and thanked all involved agencies who had assisted in the case and the search. “I am elated and happy this case is coming to a successful conclusion,” he said.
