I think any article that mentions where CM died states it was at the estate.

And the police have searched the caravan over the weekend, and taken away evidence bags.

Presumably there is evidence that we do not yet know about that leads them to believe the murder happened at the estate.

For example, this DT article mentions it twice.

One paragraph says that mum was staying at the rundown caravan park when it is alleged by police that the fiance murdered CM "more than an hour’s drive away".

Another sentence says that mum was staying 80km away from the wedding venue where CM was murdered.

IMO they will not release forensic evidence yet until they have been able to interview the mother. IMO the media and police are currently assuming that CM died at Mount Wilson.

BBM Why? If she never speaks, the police will be waiting forever to piece together what happened.

Pretty sure the police will be going over all forensic evidence results as they come back from testing. imo

The police seem to have a pretty good idea of what has happened. They just don't seem to know why/how (unless they do by now, because perhaps they now have the post mortem results and there is something apparent there).

surely the caravan park has cameras for security, so should be easy to check vehicles, passengers and times

Yes they are or have been doing that. IMO JS has certainly been there but was he necessarily staying there? We have all questioned why would KM allow JS to be at Mount Wilson alone with CM over night? Why would the grandmother allow CM to go on holidays with KM and JS? IMO that cabin may only have had one bedroom so the girls could stay there and have a mother and daughter holiday.

Won’t the autopsy reveal the truth?

I mean, as for motivation, why do people kill? Self defense (not here); jealousy (maybe); money (not here); accidentally (maybe); intense love/hatred (not likely); because the victim knows too much (maybe); serial desire to kill due to mental illness (not likely); revenge (not here); anger (maybe); self-sabotage (maybe); what else? You find the motive, you find the killer. It just doesn’t add up.
Why Do Adults Kill Children?
Individuals who solely murder children differ from other murderers
“Many of the children in this study were murdered by the boyfriends of their mothers in impulsive acts of violence," Hanlon said. "Working with these individuals on anger management and nonviolent decision-making may help reduce the risk of harm to children."

Thinking aloud.

IF CM died at the caravan park, through accident or however, and KM called JS to come and retrieve the body....
Any surveillance cameras there may not necessarily show who all is in the vehicle, maybe it was dark, maybe reflection on the windows prevented a good view, so perhaps it cannot be proven if a live child was in the vehicle.

But...if such a thing happened, there would have been a bit of a panic to get out of there. Given that this park was at quite a distance, JS had to drive there, and drive back. Little preparation and given the time involved, wouldn't there be traces of cadaverine by then, in the vehicle? Even if wrapped up in a blanket or what have you. Doubt the unit at the park would have a sealed bin they could use.....but who knows? There could also be evidence in the unit.

How long might KM and CM (and JS if he was staying too) have planned to stay there? Did they have to book for a particular length of time? Did they suddenly leave before the intended stay?

I'm not convinced, but it is an interesting, and plausible, scenario.

This is all so monumentally sad.....

religion, sex , money.. the three amigo's of murder. Just about all murders boil down to one or all three of these factors... . Which one would be applicable in this instance?

Could be that he went to the property to get the boat? They could have all been staying at the van park and wanted the use of a boat? Perhaps the plan was not originally to stay overnight. I'm confused though as wasn't the last time she was supposedly seen alive on the veranda at Wildenstein? Or has that changed now?

That’s a red herring at this stage.

None of those work for me in this case. Rich, has a partner, went to a secular school.
If I may just say, Cranbrook , where <modsnip: name redacted> attended, possibly as a boarder, being a long way from the Blue Mountains, ( there -by highly indoctrinated ) is High Anglican, and would be horrified to be referred to as secular. .... While they may appear to be laid back, scratch an Anglican and all hell can break loose, they tend not to advertise their love and pursuit of challenges.

How do druggies party?
How does an alcoholic party?

Maybe a smart little 9 yr old girl didn’t like what she was seeing and threatened to tell grandma.
