It’s great to see this thread still Alive. Terrie Lynn Hefner went missing in 1984 from Lewisville, Texas. Similarities include.

- chipped front tooth like dentals on Jane Doe (this isn’t listed on Doe’s case file but if you look at the dental x-rays you can see what I’m referring to).

- broken and healed nose like Doe
- age is spot on
- dates possibly coincide
- the lumbar “dishing” is really interesting. I found several studies in children (young adults) who have this “dishing” and it stated that among the reasons for this are; being raised in poverty (nutrient deficiencies), near a coast, or heavy manual labor. Hefner originated from the gulf coast region.
- the circumstance that would lend to her being found in neighboring NM could be the move she spoke of with her (married) coworker to San Jose, CA. NM is west of TX.

I connected with The Doe Network back in 2017, someone from there emailed me saying that this possible match had been submitted to both LE agencies in 2012.

I personally reached out to Dona Ana County Sheriff’s office, not much came from that.

I contacted Texas Missing Person Clearinghouse and was told that Flomaton, Alabama was handling the case.

I called and spoke with the Flomaton PD and was told that they have no idea why they would be in charge of this case and mentioned losing records in floods.

I am from Dona Ana county where Doe was found. I just can’t seem to let this go. I routinely think of Doe and Terrie.

David Parker Ray is really a viable suspect. Being that none of his victims’ remains have been located it makes me question if maybe Doe was an anomaly?
