COHASSET — Chief William Quigley reports that the Cohasset Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing resident who was last seen in the early morning hours of Jan. 1.

Ana Walshe, age 39, was last seen at her home in Cohasset shortly after midnight on New Year’s Day.

Walshe stands 5’2″ and weighs 115 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and has an olive complexion. It is believed that she speaks with an Eastern European accent.

If anyone has seen Walshe or has any information regarding her whereabouts, they are urged to contact the Cohasset Police Department, Detective Harrison Schmidt, at 781-383-1055 x6108 or email hschmidt@cohassetpolice.com.

Last seen by whom? Where would Ana go? Her Linkedin profile shows that her place of employment is in Washington DC. Was she visiting family for the holidays in Cohasset, MA?

VICTIM FRIENDLY

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. Attacking or bashing a victim is not allowed. Discussing known victim behavior, good or bad is fine, but do so in a civil and constructive way, and only when such behavior is known to be relevant to the case.

The "victim friendly" rule extends to family members of victims and suspects. Sleuthing family members, friends, or others who have not been officially designated by law enforcement or in mainstream media as a Person of Interest or suspect is not allowed (i.e. Sleuthing out this type of information, and publicly posting their personal information, including names, addresses, and background data -- even if it is public is not allowed and such posts will be removed, along with any posts that encourage such sleuthing).

BREAKING: Prosecutors say they found blood in the basement of the Cohasset home belonging to missing woman Ana Walshe, and that her husband purchased $450 worth of cleaning supplies the day after she was last seen. Coverage on #WBZ.

Poorly written sentence.... they found blood.... in the basement of the Cohasset home belonging to missing woman Ana Walshe. Not that it was her blood, but that they found it in the basement of her house.

Who's blood it is has yet to be determined.

bbm:
According to prosecutors, there are records of Brian Walshe going to various commercial stores on the day Ana Walshe went missing, including Home Depot, Whole Foods and CVS, and did not inform police of his whereabouts.

Police were not actually informed by Brian Walshe that Ana was missing, however, as previously stated; just Ana’s employer informed police of her missing.
...

So was it his monitor that led to "records" of him going to various stores? omg. What an idiot.
And BW wasn't the one that reported her missing first. ok, got that.
I assume it was his doting mother that saw Ana leave at 4am????

Bringing this forward already out of necessity. Please read before you post.

I'd like to know what the motive here was, not that it changes the outcome. By all public accounts from those who knew and loved AW there didn't seem to be any concern about the health of her relationship with her husband, at least not yet. Christmas can be a stressful time when it comes to finances and providing loved ones with gifts (I suspect BW was a a bit demanding on what he would deem an appreciable gift MOO). And then there are all the thoughts about a new year, fresh start.
It's just sad.

We read that the fire at their former home was an accidental coincidence.
However, Wife Killer thought nothing of shopping at HD and other stores with/without his ankle bracelet the day of the fire.
Diversion with fire and police so he could clean up the crime scene nervous and undisturbed?

ETA, pretty far fetched. I think my imagination is in a marathon.

Or he still had access. Hope they checked every crevice of that structure for anything hidden…
