My take on what I'm hearing-- Could be talking to #11, but not sure. Have you ever had to break up a squabble between two kids? Oh yes, says the woman. You find you have to be fair and impartial. You have to tell us now if you can be impartial in this case. Potential juror doesn't think she can be.

Thanks. OK, we know 31 juror candidates were dismissed before recess for lunch today. But I don't know the count on Friday asked to return since no tweets or MSM confirmed the number at the end of the day.

ETA: No worries. @Cindizzi will set us straight by the end of the day. She's the rockstar here with a super memory chip. xx
Friend, you give me way too much credit! ;) Lol
It’s not always my memory, but creative searching skills.:)

I have no idea how many were selected on Friday and I have searched everywhere!

Here’s the count at the end of last Wednesday:

DA Allen (by seat number):

Lady Justice is blind with a sword -- what does this signify to you?

(No audio for the responses).

DA Allen - blindfold most important -- disregards biases and sympathy.

Who has the burden of proof?

Should proof beyond all doubt be required?

Should the prosecution have to prove motive?

DA Allen using Werner's Denver Omelet example: If not an ingredient in a Denver Omelet, not applicable here.

Juror questions motive and intent -- are they similar?

Must vote not guilty if the prosecutor does not prove elements beyond a reasonable doubt. You will receive additional juror instructions from the court.

Do you think the media gets it right 100%. -- Audible response is "no."

Evidence must be what you hear inside the courtroom/witness stand -- not the media.

Although she can put aside the media, the juror believes she's biased because the victim was a child. She does not think she can be fair and impartial.

#17. His mother has been following the case. He's troubled by the victim being a child. Has not heard any evidence, she did it but claims insanity!

#20. Does not know the facts/evidence but stated on the questionnaire they can't be impartial.

#32. Has reservations.

#33. Had a good lunch. Seen TV coverage.

#6. Thought this case/trial was over already. Marked she's guilty on the questionnaire.

#39. His mind is set - guilty.

#45. not audible.

#?? " "

Bad audio (DA Allen must be walking around).

#? - Truck driver does not listen to media. He can be impartial.

#18. He has problems with the insanity plea.

#57. Questions the options for all the different charges.

Judge Werner:

#16. Judge asking question about travel for work monthly per questionnaire. His son graduates HS on 5/17/23.

#18. No trial on 5/12/23 but is out this week.

Thank you!

I think this tweet shows that another 75 (in addition to 59 holdovers) came into court on Friday.

30 minute Recess- back at 3:15
And iron pants LS still does not need to make a sissy. She's just gonna sit it out. Remembering when she refused to attend court-- citing a lack of toilet paper. MOO

PM, DAY 5 Jury selection.

Judge Werner excused the following eleven juror candidates:
11, 17, 39, 45, 58, 27, 36, 18, 32, 34, 50.

Judge also denied striking the following defense picks for cause:
38, 44, 57, and 59.

All that are still here will come back at either 9 AM or 11 AM on April 3.

Questions:

#63 - not audible.
#74 - Yes, come in through the public entrance.
#12 - not audible.
#44 - Parking garage clearance question. TBD.

Jurors left the courtroom.

Judge expects to complete the process on Tuesday.

Conceivable there will not be a jury seated until the afternoon of April 3 and opening sentences 1 hour each.

The Court is in recess.

That picture of Gannon on the jetty that she posted shows, to me, that Tee is at the very least, completed demented. Crazy. But not criminally insane. Far from it. She possesses no inherent defect other than her own character, which caused her to do these things. All of them.

And anyone who came into contact with her, IMO, had some clues about it. That's why she kept changing jobs and wasn't in the classroom (and I can't remember if she was being reduced in hours or fired from her job as a curriculum specialist, IIRC, she was or had been removed). I also cannot believe that no other adult ever saw her being abusive in any way with the Stauch children. She cannot change her stripes.

Naturally, no one expects a nutcase like this to kill a child. She knew she was planning to do it (I think she was planning on the hiking trip out to Garden of the Gods). I think she looked around the local landscape for hiding places for a body and for any weapons she might use. IMO. She is one of those people who possesses higher than average intelligence and tries to style themselves as a genius. She snowed the people around her, probably flattered them (she reminds me of the worst sort of gollum in English literature). She likely chose her friends/dating partners according to her own ability to manipulate them (imitating what they thought they wanted in a partner, choosing relatively naive and straight arrow kinds of people).

All of this is my opinion. We all have flaws, but good people solemnly recognize their flaws, apologize when they are displayed and do their best, lifelong, to mitigate them or at least warn people. But certain personalities are entirely incapable of that and I don't think anyone knows what to do with those people - except cut them out of our lives and avoid them altogether.

IMO.
I see where you're coming from - but ohhh no. She was only skilled in the way of manipulation, and I don't believe Al didn't know she wasn't abusing his children but he probably just viewed it as "discipline" and didn't realize how bad it was. And I'm sure if Gannon or his sister went to complain to their dad about how badly they were being treated, Al likely thought they were exaggerating - but I bet their mama believed them. I don't believe Tee is insane but I think she probably has a very bad case of untreated borderline personality disorder (again my 2c)

If she was smart, she would not have Googled the things she did. She wouldn't have paid for a fake (prank) lie detector test lol. She would have a REAL degree and not one from a random online 'school' that nobody's heard of. If she was smart, she wouldn't have gone after Spencer for that interview and coached her teenage daughter on what to say while her mic was still on.

It seems, tragically, that many people make excuses for these kinds of people and tend to include them in their lives + lives of children because "they can't be that bad" or some other dumb excuse. They know excommunicating someone from their lives can and will stir the pot and some people will do ANYTHING... A N Y T H I N G to avoid stirring the pot amongst family, friends, local community. Don't ask me why because hell if I know, I've never had a problem telling people to stick it where the sun don't shine when necessary. A good example would probably be the Utah case of Susan and Josh Powell, and Josh's terrifying dad who was obsessed with Susan.

COURT IS PREPARED FOR LS playing cray, cray because she can:

Court Order [O-29] Directing use of all force reasonably necessary to secure the attendance of LS at her trial.

The tantrums she throws are so immature. Along with everything else that's wrong with her. Adults throwing tantrums is a big pet-peeve, imo

Nothing wrong with being frank with people. I agree, but not so willing to give anybody that didn't see red flags a pass. I also tend to see people like that as bullies, in certain circumstances.

Can I ask you to expand on that? I genuinely have a hard time understanding people on the internet sometimes due to some mental health things. To rephrase - Are you saying you're more willing to give people who didn't spot red flags with T a pass? As in not everyone is observant?

Sorry. That makes both of us, then. Lol. I'm not willing to give anybody a pass. In my opinion, if Gannon and his little 'sis spoke up, they should have been believed.
Eta
Maybe they were believed, who knows?
Maybe nothing was done on time..I really don't know the reasons. I just know it should not have happened. It seems as if people just were not paying attention? I don't know. Oh.
I'm editing again to say I didn't mean to laugh about mental illness. The lol meant lots of love!

Could NOT agree more!!!!

Okay - on the court of current potential jurors - went back to look - and here is MY final count at the end of Day 5. :)

Okay - per this article

On the first day of the trial on Monday, the court spent seven hours trimming a group of 75 potential jurors to 20; they will return to court on April 3 for the final portion of jury selection.

Those issues were again apparent Tuesday when 39 of the 75 candidates indicated the length of the trial would be a significant issue.

ZD wasn’t there Wednesday either, but he did tweet at 3:30 just as soon as the Judge announced. Hopefully he’ll do that again today.

***. This is from WEDNESDAY ****

The tweet for Wednesday shows 21 potential jurors.
Day 4, We have 79 potential jurors out of 110.

Possibly go two more days, Monday & Tuesday

By Tuesday, should have 110.

Above is for Friday - 20 potential jurors.
Jurors excused Day 5 AM = 31

Jurors excused Day 5 PM = 11

Total excused on DAY 5 = 42.

(But can't confirm the count at end of Day 5).

and then yesterday - if I am reading this correctly. as of Friday, 3/24 we had 79 total - so minus 42 from the 75 for Monday = 33 potential jurors from Day 5 = 112 total - BUT then we have the 31 in the AM excused - that COULD have been in the original 79 count (Friday) - I come up with 71 so far.

Now - do I have everyone confused as I am??!! LOL! :D
