Marissa featured Isaac on the Vanished Podcast today. Wanted to bump for visibility. I hope his sister and friends can find answers soon. He sounded like a good human

Just heard about this on The Vanished podcast. Isaac sounds really similar to a lot of my friends, who also enjoy living off the grid, reject capitalism, and contra dance. I really felt for his friends who were interviewed on the podcast.

This is a case where I do think it is highly likely that he is off the grid somewhere or otherwise unreachable. I have friends who would disappear into the Canadian wilderness for three weeks at a time without telling anyone. I have not listened to the second part of the podcast that came out today, though.

Isaac is still missing.

I just caught up on his story while listening to old episodes of the Vanished podcast, and I'm sorry to say that I think the most likely scenario is that he left home that day to take his own life. There are just too many signs that point in that direction. The heartbreak over losing his relationship with Emily, whatever he said in a message to her sister the night before he went missing that had her extremely alarmed when he was gone the next day, giving his cat away to his parents the day prior, burning all of his beloved books and getting rid of his greenhouse... I think he knew when he left home that day that he was never coming back. I hope that soon a hiker or hunter or someone will come upon his remains wherever he chose to go and he will be able to be returned to his family.
