I thought of that every other week visitation after I typed it, but who knows. Still think Wallis connection and suburban is weird. I also wondered about what became of the pitbull. Did your brother or sister say anything about the dog, Idaho-Native??? Are there pets allowed there?? That just broadens the speculation. Maybe Robert was supposed to take dog out, didn't, it messed in there and bf got mad...or any other of a 1000 reasons.

I just sent him a text and his response was "yes". It appears you can have pets with a 200.00 pet deposit.

gonna try to give a voice of reason here. Im not gonna say its my voice, but its a voice...lol

Maybe in his mind the bf is guilty. Maybe he knows something that we dont as far as what was found at his house. I read that Wallis was closer to the bf brother then he was the bf. I have referred to the bf doing it or being the killer matter of factly myself because in my mind I do believe he is up to his elbows in this. I think its very possible it could have been a slip of the tongue. I think we have all said what we really think by mistake without having anything to back it up. If the LE has been saying we dont have a suspect so dont be making accusations then its possible he caught himself thinking out loud.

My gut is saying he isnt involved. He has no motive of any kind. I am also not so sure about the mothers role in this anymore. I was right up there thinking she had something to do with this, but my gut is now saying the bf got a little heavy handed while mom was at work and accidentally killed the kid. Him knowing his past knew if he was charged for this then they would nail him to a prison cell. In the state of panic it led to some stupid mistakes that Roberts body will tell.

BBM, I am going to voice my voice on the bolded part, I don't think accidentally hitting a child bad enought to killed is a accident., IMO that is battery and not a accident. and anybody that hit a child so bad to injury or KILLED them are nothing more than a coward. IMO there is no child death that is cause my someone striking or hitting, it a crime it called child abuse.
Sorry but that statement in the post really made me mad. JMO:furious:

Boise police: Don't expect an update Wednesday on the Robert Manwill case

Boise police said they are still awaiting information from the Ada County Coroner’s Office Wednesday, and that they don't expect to release anything new on the Robert Manwill investigation.
Coroner Erwin Sonnenberg has tentatively identified 8-year-old Manwill as the boy found dead in a canal between Boise and Kuna Monday, but his office is still using dental records to confirm for sure.

I am really trying to understand why the confirmation is taking so long....

Maybe it's been a long time since Robert last saw a dentist, so DNA tests are possible.

For those who may have overlooked my post earlier today, here is the released coroners report for Robert:

Treasure Valley neighbors focus on safety at National Night Out
The annual gatherings come on the heels of the Robert Manwill disappearance.

Robert Manwill's disappearance was fresh in their minds. Suncrest Drive is blocks away from the apartment complex where the 8-year-old was staying when he went missing.

National Night Out took place in neighborhoods across the Treasure Valley and the country to raise awareness about public safety and bring neighbors together.

Early in the evening, about 25 people were at the party. Hurst hoped more people would show up because she would like to see more Neighborhood Watch groups form. One year 200 people came, she said.

Because of Manwill's disappearance, Liz Mitchell decided to give her 10-year-old daughter a cell phone. She wasn't going to get one until she was older, Mitchell said.

Laura Montgomery, 11, said she used to sleep outside on a trampoline but won't anymore. She won't ride her bike alone, either.

"I was really scared because there are a few bad people who live here," she said.

I've noticed a lot of discussion on the body grates, here is some information from inside of another article I posted early this morning, ("Who Was The Last To See Robert Alive?") that explains what & why they weren't put down!

WHAT HAPPENED TUESDAY?
<snipped>
The fact the body was found in water was slowing things down, Sonnenberg said.

"You can't assume as much as quickly," he said. "Now you have to add the fact that you have ... decomposition in water, which greatly complicates the case."

A positive ID on the body awaited a look at dental records - a common practice among coroners, Sonnenberg said.

The question remains how Robert came to be in the New York Canal about 14 miles from his Vista Avenue home.

Paul Deveau, project manager for the Boise Project Board of Control, said there are no gates or grates between the Manwill apartment and where the body of the boy was found that would stop a body, he said. And it would take more than a week for a body to float that far, he said.

Deveau said the canal company opened up access roads for Boise police to conduct a thorough search of the canal after Robert went missing.

There is a single set of "body gates" at Cloverdale Road, Deveau said, but the canal company must lower them into place.

That didn't happen, because Boise police "thought he wasn't in the canal so we didn't put the gates in," he said.

While many are remembering eight-year-old Robert Manwill through the sidewalk memorial near his mom's apartment in Boise, still others have new ways to honor his memory.

Some are organzing a walk for Robert Saturday morning at 9 a.m. -- 11 loops from the New York Canal at Vista Avenue around the apartment complex and memorial and back.

"We're considering it 11 laps for the 11 days he was missing before we found him," said Monica Dalton, co-organizer of the walk for Robert.

Those interested in taking part can meet by the Jackson's at the top of the hill near Vista Avenue.

I get a feeling Wallis didnt have anything to do with it, but at this point anything is possible. If this was the case then it takes it back to premeditated. For the life of me I cant understand why friends or family would plan a killing like this.

It doesn't require premeditation. When did he REPORT the vehicle stolen? And was it really stolen at all? Premeditation assumes he immediately reported the vehicle stolen on Wednesday. The other thing that is interesting is that Wallis brought up the Manwill case to LE, according to the article. And lo and behold, the "stolen" vehicle has scent.

Could the dog of turned on Robert and was a cover up? Who owned dog? BF?

Passionflower.
I doubt the dog turned on Robert. He walked the dog, or it walked him, and was around it all the time.
I've been reading the alibi building by the b/f, but also keeping in mind one is innocent until proven guilty.

Maybe it's been a long time since Robert last saw a dentist, so DNA tests are possible.

The usual procedure is you file the missing person's report, provide last dentist seen, sign the hippa release forms so the dentist can transfer them from the office to the police.

The delay could be several things:

Robert has not been in to see the dentist in so long that his records are archived and have to be pulled. We are far enough in at this point that it should have already been done.

The proper dentist information was not provided by the parents at the time of the report. Bio Dad has only had him since 2008 so we may be relying on bio mom's records at this point.

If he hasn't been to the dentist since he was very little the records could be too old.

I don't think Wallis is involved.
I think he has a really good suspicion or bad feeling about what has happened and seems to be cooperating with the police.

If Wallis who we had never heard of before and was not linked to the case prior to him mentioning he knows the family.... why would he report the vehicle stolen, report it found, and mention the child drawing himself into the loop and bringing the cops on his property? That doesn't make much sense.

“Boise Police must have a positive identification on the body to be able to confirm preliminary autopsy findings or the direction of the investigation,” a police release said Wednesday afternoon.

To be honest, I don't think it has anything to do with getting his dental records or the positive ID. They already know and are waiting on the preliminary test results from the autopsy, imo. They simply are not going to release anything until they have a real direction on the investigation which will come from those results (as they mentioned above).

It takes time for the ME to run tests and get their ducks in a row. We will probably know something more in the next day or two. LE isn't going to tip their hand at a TOD, COD, or MOD until they have laid out their pieces to the puzzle and are working on getting an arrest warrant, imo.

Hey..I just got a breaking news email from KTVB...they are indeed going to have a news conference at 6. Can I copy and paste the email?

While it doesn't make much sense, perps do it all the time. They willfully insert themselves into the case much like Wallis has done already. Fifteen minutes or simply wanting it known they were around the child because they know there will be evidence or other people to acknowledge it so they do a pre-emptive strike to make it a known factor...either way...they do it.

True, Wallis may be an innocent bystander......who was taken advantage of because someone knew he was gone and knew his suburban was available.

Here is my total guess at this:

Ehrlick is a drug user.
Ehrlick knows the Wallis guy and has access to his home as a result.
Ehrlick takes the Suburban because he either needs it to score or to do something he has to do to make the money to score.

He has Robert while mom is at work and is either high or in need of being high, we already know Robert was supposedly grounded and being punished, he kills him intentionally or not. Cleans up the scene, returns the vehicle so the stolen vehicle (which he is probably hoping hasn't been reported yet) so that doesn't come back to him. He knows they have a "missing" kid and a bio dad to deal with so the police are going to be around.

Wallis sees his vehicle is missing, knows Ehrlick has been around, comes back and his vehicle is back and Ehrlick's girlfriend's kid is all over the news as missing. Wallis reports his vehicle as returned and tells the police of the connection to the family.

Ehrlick suddenly becomes suicidal and ODs.
Forensics will place Ehrlick and Robert in the vehicle.
Hopefully they will also place the vehicle at the site where the think the body was put in the river.

I totally agree that any kind of hit isnt an accident. It is unnecessary force no matter how any child acts. I dont think that he probably hit him with the intent to kill him, but yes I do agree it wasnt an accident
