Leonard Padilla suing Casey Anthony

Casey Anthony has another lawsuit to deal with. Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla says he is filing lawsuit against Anthony and her attorney Jose Baez seeking $200,000.00 compensation for the money they spent searching for Caylee and money spent on travel, private detectives, security guards.

Padilla says both Anthony and Baez knew that Caylee was dead. Padilla said he believed Anthony when she said that Caylee was kidnapped and also believed in Baez.

Padilla’s lawsuit is similar to the one filed by Tim Miller and Texas Equusearch. Miller says Texas Equusearch spent more than $100,000.00 searching for a child who was never really missing.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- David Badali, a local diver who participated in the search for Caylee Anthony, has filed a civil lawsuit against Casey Anthony.

According to Orange County court records, the lawsuit was officially filed on Friday.

Badali was recruited by bounty hunter Leonard Padilla to assist in the search for Caylee back in November of 2008. He headed the dive team that spent hours in the water searching the Little Econ River in east Orange County.

Badali has filed suit in hopes of recouping the costs of his dive search.

Casey Anthony to Be Released From Florida Jail

Jose Baez, Ms. Anthony’s criminal lawyer, said he was worried about her safety. But short of giving her some help just after her release, there is little he can do. He did confirm that she was not headed to Puerto Rico.

“I am trying to stay away from that whole thing,” Mr. Baez said about her post-release plans. “I’m her lawyer. I’m not a relative. I am assisting her to a certain extent. There is not much beyond that I can do. As a legal professional, you are always concerned about all of your clients. You want them to go on to live productive lives. I will say that when a person is acquitted in a court of law, that should mean something.”

Casey Anthony to be free hours from now

Casey Anthony is scheduled to go free sometime Sunday, but before she leaves jail, several demonstrators are taking one last opportunity to make their feelings known about Anthony and the legal case against her.

One Anthony supporter, David Antolic of Orlando, said outside the jail today that he thinks Anthony's character has been destroyed by the news media and the protesters, too. In the early afternoon, he appeared to be the only demonstrator who could be categorized as an Anthony supporter.

He said he hopes to stay at the jail through the night until Anthony's release. Outside the jail, he carried a sign that read: "She's not guilty! Get over it!"
