to make one point.
I live in Florida so I am used to the Sunshine Laws. That's not the point I want to make. The point I want to make is, even forgetting KC's toxic reputation as a child murderer,
all of the information about the case is already public. Anyone can read the interviews, trial docs and so on, as we already have.
So, a book or movie wouldn't present anything new. The only remaining interest in this case comes from the unsolved parts of it. KC isn't going to release a book that explains "what really happened". A book that tells its readers stuff they already know...that's not a good bet for a publisher whatever the topic.
Combine "little new info" with "blood money / reputation risk" and the only way a KC book or movie gets made is if the publisher spends a lot less money buying the rights. Bottom line: KC's not getting paid some big number to tell her story.
