Identified! AL - Opelika, 'Juvenile Jane Doe', BlkFem, UP9834, 4-7, in woods, abused, Jan'12 *reward* - Amore Joveah Wiggins

Here is another "article". I do not know if we can count this as MSM since it says "blog", but :

He said it is not clear whether the newly found remains are human or animal at this time.

"We cannot confirm if the skull and remains are related," DeLong said.

He said the testing could take a while, but in the meantime the department has issued statewide and regional notices for any missing children.

The location of both the skull and remains is near Rosemere Cemetery, but DeLong said it is not clear if there could be a connection.

Wonder if all the previous residents in that trailer are accounted for.

I always think of Haleigh Cummings when skeletal remains are found this close to Florida.

I came to the website to see if anyone else was thinking about Haliegh Cummings and saw your comment. I had looked up the route from Satsuma, Fl to Antioch, TN (where Missy's Uncle Joe Overstreet lived) it would have been 583 miles. With just a little varing off his route and less than 70 miles added to his trip (652 miles) to take her across the alabama boarder.

This reminds me of another thread on here...

It looks like the locations are fairly close also, unless I'm reading the map wrong...

I wonder how old the remains are? How long does it take to completely decompose to only skeletal remains?

Looks like only about 28 minutes to me on the map. It is quite close. Also the other remains came from a trailer that has been moved throughout GA and AL. Stranger things have happened.

As much as I want it to be Haleigh, I just don't see it. Especially if the lady that saw it was correct in saying it still had skin on it. I posted the link above.

“It still had little hair, little teeth…little skin,” said Yvonne Johnson.

Police say the skull, appears to be that of a child, between 5-7 years old. While canvassing the area Monday, investigators found 'more' bones where a trailer had once been.

So the other bones were found where a trailer use to be. It looks like whoever prepared the trailer and moved it would have seen something. Hope they can track this trailer down along with the owner.

I ran a search to find out how long it takes for hair to decompose. It states: Depending on the weather conditions and where body is stored in 50 to 365 days after death, moths and bacteria consume the hair.

So that would indicate the child probably died in 2011.

I feel the same, but we do not know if Haleigh could have been held captive for 2 yrs first. Anything is possible.

I immediately thought of this case. I just don't know about the hair....

ETA: I reread the beginning of that post and it looks like they only found pelvic and leg bone. I wonder if those 2 type bones were found this time?

I searched NamUs for missing LKA 6/1/2010 to 2/2/12 ages 4-8 (it says 5-7 but I always expand the search ages a little) and came up with 5 possibilites.

They seem pretty far away though...
