A few observations/timeline (much from memory, but I will dig up the links to substantiate in a bit):

04/26 at 9:33 p.m. from her android phone - "I feel like crying."

04/27 at approx 1:00 a.m. GB says he went to bed and that's the last time he saw JB.

TB (GB's daughter from his first marriage who was also staying the night) wakes up. She has her daughter there as well. She says she wakes up in the morning (? time) and doesn't see JB or the girls.

GB wakes up (? time) and assumes the girls went to school as per usual and tries to call JB's cell phone throughout the day.

The girls don't come home from school. GB calls the police and per the affidavit reports them all missing.

The "I feel like crying" post from Adrienne makes me think there was SOME kind of argument or tension between AM and JB/GB that night. She was a big fan of AM, and was probably sad about it all.

I didn't see this anywhere yet...sorry if it is already posted somewhere (mods please merge or remove as necessary)

Whiteville, Tn - Hardeman County deputies are searching for a mother and her three daughters after they disappeared Friday. No one's seen or heard from them since.

Her husband says they've been married 11 years and hopes the TBI will find answers.

There was some kind of altercation the night of April 26th, because of JB's post on FB and Adrienne's post and then GB's initial response to the disappearance of his family. AM must have been against the move to Arizona. And maybe that is the cause of the altercation.

From reading Adrienne's tweets, this sure seems to be the case. Which begs the question how could GB not have known something was up??

I think they all just trusted AM to much and never imagined he would do something like this. They had known him for years. We never suspect someone who we have treated as family for years to do something like this.

I am feeling he was a narcissist and abuser control freak, and I imagine his mother and wife were terrified of him. I think they feared him and did what he asked of them or else.

I respectfully disagree -- because everyone says how nice he was. I think he was really smooth, good at seeming likeable and kind, always offering to help people, etc. and his mom and wife went along because they believed this was a righteous cause (keeping the Bains from moving away with his daughter). He may not have planned to kill anyone, but just that he was going to take Alexandria or all three girls and things didn't go as planned. Then once things went south, they stuck by him because "he didn't mean for that to happen." JMO

In an interview with The Associated Press on Tuesday, Teresa Mayes' sister, Bobbi Booth, said her sister told her last week that she knew about the killings, but Booth thinks Teresa Mayes may have been too scared to call the police.

"Teresa started to call, text and Facebook constantly on Thursday," Booth said.

Booth told Teresa Mayes to call the police and was assured that she had, but by Saturday Booth had become suspicious about that claim and called police herself.

"I told them exactly what she had told me: Who the bodies were, where they could be dug from," Booth said.

As it turned out, investigators had begun digging in the Mayes' backyard the previous day.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Kristin Helm said she was unaware of Booth calling about the killings but said she might have called a different law enforcement agency

JoAnn was enrolled getting a teaching certificate, the girls were in school -- both places where your phone is turned off. He really had no reason to be too concerned until the girls didn't get off the bus. And if there HAD been tension the night before with AM, then in the morning AM was gone, he may have just thought he left because he was upset, unconnected to the wife and kids being gone.

I doubt he would have thought his good friend would do anything like this. And his wife and he seemed to have a great relationship (she praised him as the man of her dreams on her FB page very recently), so he wouldn't think she would run off or anything, at least not as his first thought. Maybe later he would start to wonder, since they had supposedly dated in the past.

I'm sure he blames himself for not protecting his wife and daughters, for not immediately thinking something was up. His whole life has now been stolen. :-(

Me thinks someone is trying to cover her backside

Weren't the cell phones left at the house? Wouldn't Gary have realized that?
