I did notice that LM had multiple domains dedicated to himself, and they all point back to the same page. I looked up the whois information, but he uses services that hide his personal information. Most likely, with a proper warrant, LE can obtain this information from the companies he used to obscure the registration info, so I wasn't too concerned and didn't think posting that here would make any difference.
Back to my point... yes... that is a little pathetic, isn't it?

Has anyone done a domain name owner search of the various sites that Magnotta allegedly "owned"? The results of such a search might be very telling...

The Chinese Consulate in Montreal confirms that the parents of murdered Concordia student Jun Lin arrived in Montreal Tuesday night.

A spokesperson for the Consulate Xu Zheng says four members of the family are here, including the parents. They are being assisted by Concordia University and the Consulate during their stay.

Zheng says the family will be meeting with police to discuss their son's case. He says they will speak to the media at a time that is convenient.

Is it 7am in Canada? If so we could have more news regarding packages in the next few hours

Did I see an article that said he was refused entry to England? Yesterday ended the Jubilee, is it possible he sent it to somewhere in England? Not so sure they would announce it on such a special day if it had been received somewhere there. Yet, as another poster suggested, would it even have made it past customs. Yes, perhaps it will turn up somewhere today.

Further to the Chinese FB, I still think that we have to honor Jun Lin in some way. I wonder if they are planning a vigil or something in Montreal for Justin Lin. I find it hard to beleive that a community would not. :moo:

University students have a notoriously high burn out and depression rates compared to the rest of the population. They are under tremendous pressure to study but also to afford to attend with high debt, living expenses to pay, working while studying.

If someone does hear about a vigil please post it here.

But I wonder how recent it could be. In these videos his hair is bleach blond, but when he was caught it looks like his natural colour. Maybe filmed before and posted after?

Also in the 'Hi to my fans' clip he looks very chilled, but many people who saw in him on the run described him as 'very nervous'

I actually read that article this morning before catching up on the thread and was going to link to it because I find it absolutely stunning how a ton of MSM outlets have published so many inaccurate "details" about this case.

I sure do miss the days when supposed "news" outlets all had ombudsman and were required to publish corrections to their alleged "reporting".

These days I guess it is more important to be first than to be accurate. As a former journalist (now in public relations), I must say that there are still many true news organizations doing real journalism. As far as the Magnotta case goes, in my opinion, the only news source that has been 100% accurate with their reporting and doing true old school journalism is Xtra.

Thanks N/T...Concordia..hmm wonders what they will do. So glad they are welcoming the parents of Jun Lin. What a long journey they had here. lease: Prays they have strength during this time and all of the help that can be offered from our gov't and the university to help them get through this.

It seems a number of French news portals are now running with this 'story'. They really can't be that recent- his hair is totally different. I'm surprised at the quote from the Police to be honest.

Hi Everyone. I'm trying to play catch-up here from yesterday afternoon (I don't have access to a computer outside of work hours at the moment). I'm floored at the discovery of the body parts being mailed to schools in Vancouver. I was just talking to someone last night about how bad it would be if another video (or something of the like) was uploaded while LM was in custody. I too have been curious about the possibility of an accomplice since the media reported about LM being in the bar with the muscular male trying to "engage other partrons".

One thing worth mentioning - a couple of days ago I saw a news article that had a screen capture of LM where he refers to the phone number 310-739-2085 (I wish I could remember where I saw the article...I'll try and locate it). If you Google that number, you'll see a whole bunch of results for a male escort in Florida who's very big and muscular (no nudity...just a screen shot of his upper body). I'm certainly not trying to implicate anyone and it's probably unrelated, but it jumped out at me when I heard about the muscular male he was with in France. His listings also say he was trained in California.

The laughing sounds like a man to me (it is semi high pitched -- like a stoned high laugh), but I thought it was the TV rather than real person. It kind of sounded like Beavis and Butthead. I had to stop it when the cats were still alive though so I'm not sure about the ending.

Sure, but don't we want all the info that's out there to be had? This is a serious issue and all things need to be considered. Not many people register domains. The victim did. Is this important in a case that revolves around the Internet? My answer would be yes.

However, I can edit my post to remove the info above if people think that's appropriate.

Actually boehj, I would commend you for a most interesting discovery. I would argue that the information might be directly relevant to this case because if JL registered the domain because he was planning on earning extra income by developing an adult video membership site focused on, well the domain name is self explanatory, it might provide a reason or purpose or direct connection to how and why he and Magnotta may have met.

Just my speculation and thoughts based on the information you shared.
