In Session Once again, it appears that the attorneys are all going back into the courtroom.

I don't think throwing out the entire testimony is fair or right. Sanction the prosecution where it hurts - in their personal wallet. Then do a jury instruction to disregard that part of the testimony.

Just do not cripple justice for the victim. Do they even remember Kathleen and her precious children?

MOO

LOL...I hope you're not directing your questions at me. I'm just the messenger.

Not directed at you. Just saying the Judge's words were pretty strong for not having spoken to the witness.

I'm appreciating all the comments from you guys. Finally found someone to discuss the craziness of this case with. Sheesh!

Dunnie

In Session Judge Burmila is back on the bench. Attorney Joel Brodsky: “We’d like to request an adjournment until tomorrow morning at 9:00, so we have an opportunity to consider our options and do some legal research.” The prosecution has no objection, so the trial is in recess until tomorrow morning at 9:00.

32s In Session ‏@InSession
RT @vinniepolitan: No ruling yet in #DrewPeterson motion... Everyone going home... Be back tomorrow..

Hope someone can help. I can watch the trial on In Seesion on Tru Tv until 2pm Central Time, then it cuts off for other programming. Do others watch In Session or the trial somewhere else? Thanks!

I think the judge should just declare DP innocent and get it over with. He seems mesmerized by the defense and the defendant. Man crush.

2m In Session ‏@InSession
#drewpeterson : no official ruling has been made on defense's motion for a mistrial.

I am sure Brodsky and DP are just gleeful right now. I hope they speak to the press so we can see how smarmy and disgusting they are.

So Back at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. Dayum. See you guys then if I can find you again. I'm a little confused though. Was the mistrial denied as ABC reports, or are we coming back for more nail biting tomorrow. I tend to believe Vinnie more than ABC. Ain't that a shame!?

I so agree! The War on Crime should be approached with putting criminals away rather than pampering them. A jury should be given all the facts, not just bits and pieces. A person's criminal history is relevant, IMO. If they don't want their history considered, then they should consider that before they HAVE a history. Our current system of deceiving the jury by omission is just not working. Dangerous people are walking free, largely because of the flaws in our judicial system. LE arrest, DAs prosecute, and often in the end the court sets them free.

We need to go back to the day when it was legal to give every jury all the facts and let them decide what is relevant based on the whole picture.

Yuk, how disgusting and scary to consider this perp might go free!!

I guess this judge, no matter how old the suspect is or how young the victims are, is lenient on the perp if they have no priors as in this case that Burmila ruled on last year ~

Imagine how he feels when a suspect is former LE!

Its more nail biting tomorrow. ABC jumped the gun with the mistrial denied thing. The MSM frequently do, I find. They're all so desparate to scoop each other they don't wait to check their facts.

Mistrial DENIED: The prosecution better be very very careful from now on they are walking on egg shells.

Drew Peterson's murder trial resumed today after the judge considered and then denied a defense request to declare a mistrial.

ABC's reporting seems to be very sloppy. The Mistrial request hasn't been denied, it is on hold, and it wasn't Kathleen's driveway that the bullet was found in, it was the neighbor's. Sheesh.

Hang with us, knt. ~n/t~ has us covered with timely updates even when IS goes off!! When IS is still on, we still get more concise and to the point updates from her.

Nice! I wonder if this judge would have been so lenient if this guy was his next door neighbor?
Judges can be compassionate, but they really need to use their compassion where it will be useful. A child pornographer? A cop that kills his wives? Don't think so.
