Brandon Scott Lavergne - Guilty Plea and LWOP

If he covered the body intially with sticks and leaves, and left the body for a day, wouldn't there be buzzards, etc.?

Does anyone know if they used HRD dogs at the cemetery? I know that cemeteries can supposedly be a difficult working environment for them -- but I bet they would be plenty able to find that initial "hiding" spot, if that part of BSL's story is true.

True, he had the victim spit into a wash cloth. With LP, I am under the impression that at first, they were together with her consent and things went south when she wanted to leave to see her children. I am not totally convinced that BSL is an outright rapist in the commonly understood sense of the word.

I kinda think this too. According to BSL, they met previously and then met at a hotel, then left Lafayette for several days. Who knows how much, if any, of that time was voluntary for LP. I would think the original meeting was consentual and then turned into a forceful situation. MOO

brenda lee, do you know how Mickey's animals are doing these days? I think of them often. I hope they have their ways of knowing why Mickey is not there, but that she is watching over them. I bet they do.

Sweet of you to ask about them. I am from her barn family so I only see her horses. They are cared for by many and seem okay. She always joked about Jude being my grandson. I know at the beginning some at home were not eating but I think they are all okay.

His attorney stated that Charlene is the reason he wanted to come clean. Her interviews were very powerful.
She is one fine lady in my eyes 100% class act. Frankly this one of the few truths he told. MOO

I don't believe for one second this was the reason...I believe he got a good look at the evidence.

Thank you, brenda lee. I think maybe animals are like humans in that, of course, they grieve and they miss Mickey's physical presence. But I like to think that they are more sensitive than most of us two-leggers to a loving spirit stopping in to comfort and check on them! I am glad to know that all seem (from what you know) to be doing pretty well.

bessie ~ good account of possible happenings, however the search crews never found a single drop of blood or evidence that mickey was hurt or any trace of her being abducted on that route. If they had a tussle and she was viciously stabbed on the ground, i believe the search crews would have found evidence of it. More questions arise with every plausible scenario.

I'm STILL behind! I have been since Friday, so sorry if this has been posted already. Do we KNOW LE didn't find blood or evidence of her being hit?? They seem to still be keeping some info sealed up.

Adam called le the end of May? I didn't even know BSL was on the radar until June 14th. I must have picked the wrong page to skip... Does anyone remember approx. when this was discussed, or point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I know that because I had just starting following along on that site and when I saw that I croaked, it clicked in my head that somehow this was going to turn into something deeper so I took a screen shot. At the time most on that site were blowing that poor guy off. Boy were they shocked when all of this blew up. I could tell that guy Adam was truly scared for his sister-in-law. Others started encouraging him to delete all of his post so I took screen shots because I was ready for bed and want to read them later.

Don't feel bad I started reading this entire thread late this morning and I'm just now up to page 20. Had to stop a few times to absorb everything.

I'm not sure if you meant discussed on this site or the original site that Adam started posting about his sister in law. The date and time
posted here is from the other site. But all of those post have been deleted long ago. I just still had my screen shot from them back in May.

Adam is a brother in law I would be proud to have that is for sure.

I don't know if this has been talked about yet and I'm sorry if it has. Still haven't caught up on the post from the entire weekend.

Okay I blew up the image of Brandon walking to the courthouse the other day because it looked like something was inside his left hand. Can someone enlighten me on this. It almost looks like the index finger is cut off from the last knuckle down and some sort of blue/grey overgrowth, not sure. Maybe some of you can explain this to me that might know more as I have been unable to follow along the last few days.

Garryb, thank you for answering so many unanswered questions for all of us.

Cajun Net reported early on that he did indeed cut his finger off, though I never did hear which finger.

You're welcome.
IIRC, AD called LE a few times. It may be that once LE heard from the saleswoman they put more stock in AD's calls or may be they had begun to take AD seriously and then the saleswoman's call cinched it for them. I'm not sure.

I will try to look back and see the exact date but I do remember him saying on the other site when he originally called them and was waiting to hear back from detective

Maybe some photographer somewhere that was taking pics during the the time he went to court will one day answer that question for us.

It very well could have been CS's interview, but I have a very strong feeling that his defense attorneys had a lot to do with it. I was told very recently by a VERY credible source that his attorneys had NO IDEA at all about Lisa Pate until after the GJ met. From what I understood was that his attorneys were not allowed in the courtroom for the GJ indictment and were notified after it was over. It was a HUGE shock to them.

Was Adam on this forum or only the other one? Just curious.

I think he was on this one too but soon stopped posting once all the info came out. Many were speculating that a gag order was in place or he was told by LE not to discuss the case with anyone.

Adam found out about the stabbing on May 20th. Called a detective that was a friend of his that was working on the case around 6 days later. He didn't hear back from them for another week.

I am glad the Shunicks no longer have to wonder where Mickey is. I'm glad tax dollars don't have to pay for 3 to 4 years of trial preparation and have this put in the hands of a jury that will do who knows what with it. I'm glad BSL is in prison for the rest of his life.

But I'm not buying BSL's one-sided version of events for one second. I think he was looking for a victim. I think he is an evil monster. I think he had the grave dug ahead of time, and had the open grave covered with sticks and leaves. He knew he was going to kill and his past experience(s) taught him how important it is to get rid of the body and other evidence as soon as possible. I don't think it is likely he could have dug a deep grave with his hand injury. Think about it; that night he was calling around to escort services looking for someone, his next victim. I also am not buying the part about him taking Mickey's pulse. That was a "yeah, right" moment for me.

A reporter from the DA posts here. Maybe she will see it and give us some more insight on it. Original pics are a lot better when blown up.

BSL's wounds mean that things did not go as planned. Had he been wound-free, your idea would be much more likely.

As it is, we have a cut-up perp. We also have no mention of rape whatsoever in any official documents.

I am not being disrespectful. I'm looking at what happened and saying I think there's a good chance he wasn't able to get what he wanted. He burned his truck because something went very wrong.

You are free to speculate on what happened to Mickey. I'm sticking to the released facts for now, and looking at the struggle. You do NOT know that he got "what he wanted." Maybe we should leave Mickey some dignity until more proof comes out.

There you go again. Last time I was naive. This time I'm disrespectful. I'm almost starting to think you have something personal against me, because you have been picking on my posts for quite awhile now and I'm starting to see a pattern forming here.

I do not believe Mickey was raped at all. Oh no doubt that was his intention but she would not have given up something she had saved. She died to protect herself from that. I believe no man with stab wounds right off the bat would even be capable of thinking of that when they had to be in horrific pain from the wounds. Just think how bad a little paper cut burns. And remember right off the bat he assumed he had killed her because he could not find a pulse. I think at that time he was to scared to get "that" to work.

i have a hard time searching previous post bc half the time i can hardly find the forum which we are currently using. but can someone find the thread in which a poster alleged that the struggle went on in the truck? it was around the time they had found her body. its not hellu important, i just wanted to reread what the poster had said.
