This is why I feel the FBI needs to take over this investigation.
There are too many links between suspects and SCPD members
This goes for known suspects and some lessor known suspects that I know for a fact have not been discussed on this board or any other

MY ANSWER TO THE ABOVE POST IS SIMPLY THIS:

19 Terrorist somehow managed to enter this country, some of them were on a Watch List, and others should have been. Several of them went to a flight school to learn only how to fly a plane in a straight line. No one took notice.

Bernie Madoff stole billions over a period of 25 years and no one noticed. A financial wizard name Markopolos screamed to anyone that would listen to him that Madoff's activities were highly irregular and it seemed he was in massive pyramid scheme. No one bothered to look even though he was screaming this out over 4 years. Truth is the FBI NEVER caught Madoff. It was Madoff who turned himself in because he knew his Pyramid Scheme was crumbling beneath him and he knew he was going to get caught.

I told you about the gal that told them she saw her boyfriend covering up a big hole in her backyard, and when she asked him what he was doing he told her he killed a guy for Gotti and was burying the body. The FBI chased her out of the office.

The only thing the FBI would contribute to Gilgo is to create a bigger Cluster...K than it already is.

SCPD sure isn't going to share any information...
Ordinary citizens can only do so much without being forced to turn over any evidence to SCPD. (Of course, this only depends on someone calling them and telling them what you have found... be careful who you allow on the hunt)
Thinking we're going to solve it on WS or LISK is a little far fetched.
For what it's worth, the FBI has managed to solve crimes.

Hi DeeDee, I thought the FBI had to be invited into a case and they serve as a resource for the local LE. That would be regular investigation plus lab studies, but with the local LE always maintaining control of the case.

I'm not so sure about that. I have heard and read many times that the FBI is frustrated that SCPD will NOT let them into this case.

I was just wondering what you think how this 'investigation' will go if you knew a very important member of the PD may have been in possession of child *advertiser censored* and pictures of bestiality? I wonder how much confidence you would have in such a 'investigation' where prostitutes were murdered and you found out this same person had a child with a prostitute with a very long arrest record?

This is hypothetical, of course, because we all know such things couldn't happen in what they call: "A Accredited Police Agency."

My mind is very open to the possibilty that you are correct about that particular JB. If what you say is true, they won't solve the case - unless they can find a good scapegoat.

How exactly did he die? Did he supposedly "hang himself"like Debra Jean Paltry (sp?) supposedly did and like her employee and the SC officer who "hanged himself" rather than take an early retirement. IYKWIM?

Suddenly, it occurs to me that hanging causes asphyxiation and is very similar to being strangled. I wonder if anyone question the CODs in any of those cases.

the FBI can NOT, of their own accord, supercede local or state LE, UNLESS they prove JURISDICTION--IF they have that, they do NOT have to be invited or even have to ask to come in--they do that out of professional courtesy, and for cooperation

good question--yes it is-both show hyoid damage--the predominant differences in how it presents in skeletal evidence is usually separation in the jawbone area, and damage to the transverse processes(bony parts sticking out from the vertebrae in the neck)--although similar damage, although less significant, can occur from a strangulation that occurs while lifting a body off or partially off the ground(like in horror movies)

Here is a quote from a news article the day he was found, but his death record says he died 14 Dec 2011, so he had apparently been dead for some hours when found at 6AM Dec 15, 2011:

When I read about a suicide victim found in their own car, I usually think that they used a gun to shoot themselves - IMO

There are so many viable suspects, it's scary.
Some have been implicated by spouses - others have left clues, others trinkets on the crosses placed by the families.
I'm sure there are a thousand more I have not heard of and maybe nobody has.
I know if I knew someone directly that i suspected, I'd be very careful who I talked to about it. This guy (or guys) are dangerous and obviously don't think twice about killing.
I don't think they're gone from the area, I think they're still very much here and has either killed again already, may even be responsible for other murders long ago. I keep going all the way back to the girls in Lynbrook back in the 80's. Perhaps this guy has been doing this since he was a very young man. Maybe slightly older than these girls back then, befriended them..... moved on to street walkers as he got a little older.... then onto escort ads more recently.
Now imagine he evolves to another means to meet victims..... the possibility this guy has been around and evolved this much is very scary to me. And could be a reality

I should also add, there are other whac jobs out there that are not suspects, but have done the same types of things. Left things, sent things to people, taken pictures of items on the memorials but then didn't meave the items.... just took a picture to send.
Then there was the guy on Nat Geo - came all the way from Florida to collect some soil from the spots the bodies were.... to sell on his serial killer website.
Take all kinds.
People confess to crimes they didn't commit... want people to feel they are responsible when they're not.
It's mind boggling how whacked some people are
