never mind, I just found out that that online escort is too short to be LB

I recall watching the phone record flash across a news update one evening showing DM's numbers...I wonder if anyone has a screen shot, showing her number....would be great to see what you have found :)

I'm guessing I probably found the same thing, but I'm also not certain it's her.
I have a screenshot of the phone bill, but I can't seem to find her number on it.

I suppose we know now what her FB friends didn't want people to know. (Understandably, I guess, if it means LE wouldn't take her case seriously.)

I don't know how I feel about that, I'm going to have to chew it over. The fact that LE put that info front and center tells me it was really all a CYA exercise, though.

Thoughts? When you google this name you can find customer reviews, which I won't post here, because they're pretty vile. There is one from 2009 saying that she is a U of T student, did LB go to U ofT?

When I google for that name, I get someone who does not look like LB to me.
(the description also states 5'5, 125 lbs - the weight is off from what police just stated, but they didn't mention height).

yes she did go to U of T

It's almost like they came out just to say "yeah, we know, shut up about LB and WM".

ETA: After the resentment in that guy's voice any time anyone asked a question, I'm almost ready to get on board the anti-TPS train, as much as I hesitate to say anything negative about LE. Why hold a press event if it's just going to annoy you when people show up and expect information?

He almost 'sneered' with the revelation of the sex trade angle and when asked about DM's involvement played innocent:banghead:

I guess the city of Toronto is too wrapped up in the Rob Ford shenanigans to give this too much importance. My guess is this was an obligatory PC, as the 'search' has been highly publicized over the past week and they knew the results of the search were anticipated. This Carbone either knows more than he was willing to say and was just playing dumb, or he really is dumb and they stuck him in as a talking head.

Regarding the search of the farm, I understand they had some technology/equipment that is used in archeological digs like ground-penetrating radar devices, which can detect buried objects, etc. There must have been one 'area of interest' that turned up something in a scan but turned out to be nothing (or an animal or something).

Although, why would you need to bury a body when you own an incinerator?

DM purchased an incinerator in July 2012.
LB made her last phonecall to DM on July 3, 2012

Regardless of what they said today, I believe this whole case is going to uncover some real sinister stuff when all is said and done.

funny how SL said her last phone calls were to DM but then police said there were others after DM..so why did SL lie? He also said July 14th as her last known contact with anyone?

I believe i'm correct in saying she was last seen June 26, her last known phone call was to DM on July 3, and she was reported missing on July 14.

There were phone calls to other folks that they are following up on. He didn't say they were made AFTER the July 3 call to DM.

The phone bill SL had probably showed DM as last contact. That could have been the cut off date for that monthly bill cycle, maybe there were other calls in the next bill cycle.

maybe she was using a different phone?? just guessing....Moo
I sensed that even though she contacted others that information may not have been known to SL - perhaps DM gave her another phone (he was known to give things to friends)

or she got a new sim card/changed number and had billing sent to a different address? or just switched to pay as you go

your right I went back and watched the Presser again...still looking for other people from the phone records she spoke to..Im so curious who provided them with information regarding the farm..hmmm

TPS said they didn't find any evidence, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the previous search done by HPS didn't find anything..does it? Am I correct to assume that it will take months for all of the evidence that Hamilton/Waterloo/OPP obtained to be properly analyzed? If HPS does have something in their possession that could be used as evidence in TPS cases, does HPS just hand it over?

Here is a link to recordings (2 parts) of today's presser:

http://kitchener.ctvnews.ca/no-evid...t-millard-farm-police-1.1310293#ixzz2VGwrYZGk

After watching this presser I have the following comments:

-IMO this was an absolutely disgraceful performance by Toronto Police. For detective Carbone to come out and describe the investigation as "thorough" is an insult to Laura's family and friends and an insult to our intelligence.

-I believe Laura's boyfriend and her family when they say that the phone records were turned over to Police at the time of Laura's disappearance. For Det Carbone to now come out and say that police "only became aware" of the phone records after the arrest of Dellen Millard is almost certainly an outright lie by Det Carbone IMO. This is typical of how Toronto Police operate. They will NEVER admit to making any mistakes. IMO they will with hesitation lie in order to cover their rear-ends.

-We saw today with Det Carbones performance why it is so many murders go unsolved in Toronto. With the exception of the murder of drug dealers - the investigation of which solve themselves - Toronto Homicide have a lousy track record of solving murders or disappearances (e.g. Mariam Makhniashvili ).

- Most shocking was the fact that Det Carbone was completely unaware of the infamous soft-*advertiser censored* photo shoots that DM arranged inside the Millard hangar. This information has been in the public domain for weeks now. Everyone on this website knows about the photo shoots and yet the lead investigator into LB's disappearance was completely dumbstruck when asked about these photo's? With his response Det Carbone demonstrated that he is completely unfit for the job of a police inspector. Unfortunately cops can never be fired . I suspect this guy will probably get a big promotion.

-Det Carbone was unable to comment on or was unsure about most of the facts of this case but he was certain of two thing. 1) Dellen Millard "was not in the sex trade" (despite evidence to the contrary, e.g. soft-*advertiser censored* photo-shoot) AND 2) Carbone was sure that Laura's was in the "sex trade" although no evidence of this has been presented and it is yet to be proven.

- It does not seem that Det Carbone was asked about the i-Pad in Laura's possession. After her disappearance her boyfriend asked Toronto Police to obtain a subpoena to allow Rogers to track the usage and location of the i-Pad. Toronto Police did not comply with this request! What is the explanation from Det Carbone for this massive failure to follow-up on a critical lead?

- It was hard to make out the questions from the media but at one point Det Carbone was asked about WM's personal life at the time of his death. Carbone replied it was "too early to speculate on his demeanor this soon into the investigation". Too early? WM died 8 months ago! From this comment we can infer that at the time of WM's death no investigation was done into it being a possible murder.

- respectfully snipped -

LE said today that LB was in contact with others after she spoke with DM and that they are still getting or attempting to get information from those people. They didn't say how long after she was in contact with others.

The detective said that DM & LB had a "romantic relationship" but not a "traditional dating relationship", whatever that means. Since he has interviewed neither DM or LB, he really doesn't know what their relationship was, why would he repeat hearsay in a press conference, and not in the stilted policespeak they usually use. More questions than answers after this press conference
