Terrorist Attack at Boston Marathon #12

http://bostonherald.com/news_opinio...an_did_mom_s_twisted_views_influence_brothers

In the phone call, subtitled in English, she fusses over her accused murderer son as any mom might over a boy off at college. She asks Dzhokhar if he is in pain.

“No of course not. I’m already eating and have been for a long time,” he tells her.

“You are my life,” she says, weeping. “You need to be strong.”

“Everything is good. Please don’t say anything,” he says.

Article about DT talking to his mom.

http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/04/world/europe/tsarnaev-parents-interview/index.html?hpt=hp_c3

One point, ZT said "I felt like he would scream, you know, like, 'What's going on?' "Instead, he was just calming me down.". Seems to me that she expected him to claim setup, but he did not do that. She must know deep inside that he is guilty of the bombing. Though she still denies it.

:bump:

Why would DT need to tell his mom not to say anything if she didn't know something??

Expert: Funds could cost Dzhokhar Tsarnaev
http://bostonherald.com/news_opinion/local_coverage/2013/06/expert_funds_could_cost_dzhokhar_tsarnaev

... Tsarnaev’s mop-topped look has won him smitten online fans, sparking a “Free Jahar” blogging bonanza, with supporters rallying to buy him a $44 Walkman from the Devens commissary.

But if donations keep flowing in, he could risk losing his taxpayer-funded
defense, former federal prosecutor Brad Bailey said. “If the government feels that there’s an improper benefit coming to the
defendant by virtue of public counsel when he does have the available means, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do file a motion. By the same token, knowing the federal defenders in the case, I’m sure they’re going to work as hard and zealously as they can so long as they remain the attorneys of record.”

What ever happened to the two other guys that were arrested (I think there were two). I remember one was released on bail, but any news on either of them?

Has this been discussed here? I got it from the Waltham thread, but maybe it is more important to this thread.

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/boston-bombing-fbi-questions-chechen-rebel-us/story?id=19196658
"The FBI has carried out a search warrant at the Manchester, New Hampshire home of a former Chechen militant who admits he met with dead bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev less than a month before the Boston Marathon bombing.

...In an interview posted on the VOA website, Khadjimuradov said he had repeated contact with the elder Tsarnaev over several years.

Khadjimuradov said he had met Tamerlan in 2006 at the annual gathering of the Chechen Society of Boston.

Khadjimuradov told VOA he was first interviewed by the FBI April 29, but it wasn't until Tuesday that federal agents showed up with a warrant to search his home."

“They [the FBI agents] saying he [Tsarnaev] has a shooting practice here in New Hampshire, like two or three times,” Khadjimuradov said. “So he buy fireworks here from New Hampshire, you know, and he buy some ammunition rounds here in New Hampshire.

bbm,

Elley... very interesting NH connections.

I replied to this post in the Waltham thread, confused on what thread I was on. I think it is relevant here.

The article above also states that TT's radicalized behavior started to become noticeable in 2007.

TT met Musa at a Chechen conference in Boston in 2006.

They don't mention Misha's involvement until 2009.

I think honestly that Musa is the bigger influence on TT and probably had involvement in influencing/encouraging TT in the triple murders. They need to question Musa about the murders. I bet he knows more than anyone thinks.

Musa =
Musa Khadjimuradov

I tend to think TT's radicalized behavior was starting to bloom before 2007, that is, as the article says, when it became noticeable. I'm still wondering what he was doing before he came to the US between the time Dad came here, then mom and 3 kids, and when TT then arrived. TT also seemed to be in Turkey and who knows where during that time period.

I found part of this article very interesting on him... It validates my theory that he had a narcissistic personality starting to form at a fairly young age and that he is not a typical religiously devoted radical but found his power in that.

Exhibitionist Exerciser

In Cambridge, Tamerlan Tsarnaev had the nickname “pull-up boy,” said Matt Stuber, 29, a next-door neighbor on Norfolk Street. He would use a garden trellis for his exercises in full view of passers-by.

“He was very image-oriented,” Stuber said. Tamerlan drove a silver C-Class Mercedes-Benz, and when he wasn’t wearing workout gear, he chose “boisterous, fancy clothes.”
...More at link. Good article and one I had missed.

Here is CNN's report on the same topic with a portion of the Skype video interview that Khadjimuradov did with Voice of America.

Former Chechen rebel: 'I have nothing to do with' Boston bombings
By Chelsea J. Carter. Brian Todd and Dugald McConnell, CNN
May 20, 2013 -- Updated 1302 GMT (2102 HKT)

"Manchester, New Hampshire (CNN) -- The trail of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev has led investigators to the New Hampshire home of a former Chechen rebel living in exile, a law enforcement official told CNN on Friday.

FBI agents interviewed Musa Khadjimuradov and searched his Manchester home this week, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity."

Much more...

Thank you!

Per Tamerlin (and I had other sources too), he has been in the US since 2004. Other articles claim mom did not come here the same time dad did.

Thank you!

Golden Gloves of America was just then changing its policy. It used to permit legal immigrants . decided in 2010 ....end all participation by noncitizens in the Tournament of Champions."

This was not the Olympics it was Tournament of Champions."

The rug was pulled out, they changed the rules, becasue he was not AMerican ... as stated earlier.
oh stop, nothing was pulled out from under him, he had no reason to quit boxing, what if the rules changed again in a year or two. He quit of his own free will, just as he killed people of his own free will. He's a horrible lowest scum you can get as is his brother.

It used to permit legal immigrants to compete in its national tournament three out of every four years

he was IMO discriminated againist for being born in Russia.
well, he could have chosen to go back to Russia and comepte in the Olympics for them since is appears he hated America and its citizens.

People are funding him? Wow, I certainly hope all those people are being watched or investigated....that is nuts!

I too think mama knows all about what her lowlife sons did...he didn't want her to spill anything. Personally, he should't be allowed a phone call.

between this and the other thread, I am getting seriously wierd vibes....anyone else?

Gym destroys Marathon bomber’s awards, releases training video
http://bostonherald.com/news_opinion/local_coverage/2013/05/gym_destroys_marathon_bomber_s_awards_releases_training_video
The Wai Kru gym has also destroyed two boxing trophies and the New England Golden Gloves Tournament of Champion’s sweatshirt that belonged to Tsarnaev out of disgust, the Herald was told today.
...
There were a lot of things that we destroyed, that we didn’t want people to profit off of. It sucks that these are the circumstances.”

So that training video of the brothers was taken just 3 days before the bombings. I'm not sure why they needed to be in good shape to set down bombs casually, then walk away, but it appears they did some training ahead of time.
