I am wondering if Dr Blue received permission from GP’s family to confirm the non-pregnancy. I’m sure everyone anticipated that it would be asked and perhaps they took the opportunity to shut it down. Otherwise, it would seem to fall under autopsy findings he’s not allowed to release. Odd.
IMO
Have we turned a generational circle on picking up hitchhikers? I am thankful if these people ultimately provide pieces of the puzzle for GP’s family but my Gen X self was terrified of strangers so I’m a bit shocked.
And if we find a Bible really did launch itself into BL’s lap…. Well then...
Hoo boy. Prayers for the safety of anyone who has to dive in a flooded swamp. I’m grateful for all of these searchers doing dangerous and exhausting work to try to bring answers to GP’s family.
IMO.
I believe the Puerto Rico theory was based on one of GP’s trial/hiking apps showing that as its location. However, other posters indicated that app allows one to choose the location it shows and that it (maybe) defaults to where it was downloaded. GP may have been in PR when she downloaded it...
Despite expecting this to be the outcome, I am just so deeply sad for her and her family. I am grateful that her parents will have her back because given the terrain I was very worried that might not be the case.
As for BL and his family … I value my Websleuths membership too much to...
I have a couple of thoughts on this (speculation not fact):
1. They have not seen him since Tuesday but they may have been in contact. Perhaps that contact stopped and they became worried enough to raise the alarm. (The irony of it all)
2. The developments throughout the day that at least...
If they had a fight and BL stormed off and didn’t return leaving GP with van, I think she probably would have alerted the authorities as soon as possible that he was missing. That’s what a normal person would do having lost their partner in the wilderness.
IMO.
The Jackson/Jackson Hole/Jackson Dam loop feels similar to the Yosemite/Yellowstone rabbit hole. Lol
However, if this was BL and the story this young woman told was accurate, there is zero chance Gabby would have been okay camping alone near the Snake River while he hiked for “days”. She...
If that was the case, he could tell the police. They could verify her whereabouts and tell her family she is alive without disclosing the location. That happens pretty regularly with voluntary missing people.
I can’t imagine that OCD/Anxiety would be made better if she were to exit treatment...
Based on the interactions GP had with the police, it’s clear to me she was very afraid of being left behind/abandoned so far from home. Therefore, the idea that she just decided she could not take it anymore and walked off in to obscurity in the middle of a national forest is absurd.
Is it...
I keep thinking the same thing every time I consider the weird storage unit story. Surely a dad devoted enough to move his entire life to be closer to his child would gladly help transfer her belongings across town. And even if BL had the only key to the unit, spending $40 to FedEx it to the...
It doesn’t make sense to me either. I wonder (total speculation) if he told his parents about the police incident and they told him to get himself home right away to get some distance. That would make more sense as to why he was gone for a week. Time to cool off and then decide to go back and...
I could not agree more. If she was willing to launch herself over him to get into the passenger seat, she was very afraid of being left. I wonder if that was a frequent coping tool of his when they argued.
IMO.
This sounds like a statement from people who barely knew someone. Like they are totally mystified by some near stranger disappearing. Honestly just really weird.
IMO
I’d really love to have the info on what they found in that van. Does Florida still have the sunshine statute that allows the media to get ahold of public records during an investigation?
IMO, this is one of those situations where it won’t make much sense either way. If her belongings are...
My issue with this young man’s behavior is that there is not one thing that is normal about it. Sure, any given person might respond oddly or badly to some misfortune but there are things that are just way outside the lines.
If the person you intend to marry disappears, vanishes, storms off...
I tend to agree with this. The family and/or LE may think he's being uncooperative due to legal representation but it seems impossible that he's just offered zero explanation to anyone regarding her whereabouts.
I can't imagine anyone thinking they could return home from a long trip without...
