What does concurrent "seven years to LIFE sentences" mean? That would mean, that you stay in jail, until you die. INMO. Not, release on probation because you are a little old lady.
Instead, EH will probably share a cell with women who probably didn't have the privilege and opportunities that EH had...and will look up to her with awe. Probably increase her narcissism.
That is the problem I see in treatment centers. Women there who have lived lives of excess, still think...
Yeah. It doesn't sound too good to me. I like sleeping in, doing what I want, spending time with my family. I have been stuck with women, for a summer job, and it can be hellacious. Some can be angry, or a bunch of mean girls and passive aggressive. 12 years is a long time.
I hope she is off the list for any more foster children. And remove the ones currently in her care.
The sick thing is that they probably won't do anything about it. Foster children seem to be close to "throwaways". They go missing, no one even notices. One dies, oh dear, another accident.
A...
"Cleaning pans in the kitchen for .12 an hour" considered the "most grueling work". New inmates get that job for first 90 days.
EH would do well to keep to herself and embrace the "most grueling" jobs. Life is going to change. And I don't feel sorry for her at all.
Did I read this correctly?
"judge sentenced Cummings to 45 days in jail.". Allan and Tracy hope this time around things will be different.".
45 days in jail for child abuse that made a child disabled for life?
A lot of it is that people don't want to be judged by some social worker, who set up everything to take their catastrophically disabled child home. "Here, we are going to fix it all up, with Medicaid, housing, Social Security...".
The problem is with multiply impaired children, is that the...
I am wondering if the mother took advantage of the "Care at Home" program, different states have different programs, they actually pay the home caregiver cash.
The sad part, is that the parents could have given up the child to permanent foster care, he probably would have been set up in a...

Same information as above. Sentencing will be July 11. Recommendations are LWOP.
I grew up with a hoarder parent, and I have a high tolerance for clutter. I have walked into homes that other people would have been horrified by...but if the children and animals are taken care of, there is a place to have basic hygiene in the house, and there are no sign of bugs, feces, I am...
I know. And, the disabled child was probably getting Social Security, possibly even put the family to top of list for section 8 housing. So, it is a problem, when the "benefits" follow a child with disability, so the family wants the benefits...but the care is overwhelming.
It is often a...
Wow. Really though, it seems like this family couldn't handle a child with multiple impairments. No judgement from me. They were overwhelmed or just didn't know what to do...it is important to not expect people to take care of a multiply impaired child, if they can't do it....
Educational neglect is huge, and social deficits. There are specific ages developmentally, where if you pass that stage, catching up is almost impossible.
"Homeschooling" again. How many threads at WS have this scenario?!
I am all about parents right to Homeschool their children. But, every year, a baseline test, at the school, if they are not at grade level, back to school. This would help so many children.
