This is not the first time a body was found after some time that ended up nearby to where a person went missing.
Despite all the thought that a body should stand out, sometimes they just don't.
I think too much emphasis is placed on "factory trained" technicians.
It probably is a series of tapes or books someone would go through, an easy claim to make.
Why would it be weird that no customer of the transmission shop has been publicly identified?
The people who had transmissions repaired in the 1970s are going to be a small part of the population, older in age, probably not following this case, and may not recall exactly where a car was...
The idea that multiple lie detector companies existed in Fort Worth is probably false.
The original story could have been she married into a family that sold lie detectors. They were one of the largest venders and located in Fort Worth.
Over time the story could have been misconstrued to make it...
There’s a reason polygraphs aren’t allowed in court. Taking, passing, and failing these tests are given way too much weight for something that is mostly fake science.
Despite all the hysteria about wild animals, and I’ve been around a lot of people scared to death of wild animals having lived in the mountains, most wild animals will run and hide if they hear you coming. And if you’re walking dogs, that’s even more noise.
It is possible, probably unlikely.
The Post Office operated a lot different back then. Mail could travel directly from one small Post Office to another. Now it all goes to central processing locations, no matter how close the two Post Offices may be.
When one thinks of the runaway theory, it would have been easier back then to establish a new identity. You can't do anything today without an SSN, but Reed probably didn't even have one at age 15. And getting an SSN with "fake" credentials was easier back then.
I doubt he ran away and...
My thought is if it happened in a home or someplace public, it had to be a strangling and pretty much one at a time. No beatings, no gunshots. The mess would have been too much even for a transmission shop.
I don't buy the DA set up the kidnapping for organized crime angle. DA would have been a loose end and they'd have taken her too. After all, what's better than three girls? Four girls!
I think the actual answer is much closer to home, I'm just not sure exactly which home or who.
I'm just going to guess based on behavior seen in other cases. The case isn't getting much attention because the families disappeared from the news after the original story broke.
I think something embarrassing (for lack of a better word) turned up early in the investigation , and the families...
I don't think a pretty, young girl who apparently wants to make more money than minimum wage needs organized crime connections to get a job dancing at an adult entertainment club.
I also don't see organized crime doing anyone a favor and either killing, selling into trafficing, or disposing of...
I see it as a slippery slope. The addict starts with good intentions. Temptation gets stronger. Once someone falls to temptation, barriers fall. All the news stories about fentanyl don’t matter. The cravings are that strong.
My opinion is he wasn’t slipped anything, he just fell to his internal...
Someone that knew might know, possibly, that someone with a partner at home and a very public job would be hard to find alone and attack. That’s my opinion on why it happened where and when it did.
Why no one around her has stood out, I don’t know. I just can’t see this as a random crime...
It is possible, but very unlikely. A large truck will often have mirrors that stick out a good distance and could be the right height to hit someone in the head. But it would be hard to believe that after the mirror struck the victim that the victim would fall perfectly down and away and never...
