Seems pretty common among family annihilators...the annihilator decides the rest of their family would be "better off" not ever finding out about the financial difficulties, so the annihilator decides to kill them all.
I'm reminded of the first chapter of the novel _The House of Mirth_ where the...
"Police spoke with one neighbor who recalled hearing someone bang on the door and looking out to see the children, who said their dad had stabbed them."
Aha, so some of the children managed to run next door.
For one thing, there are two separate jurisdictions. The women were reportedly abducted (or got in vehicle in any case) in Jackson County, Missouri, and the homicides likely happened in Clay County, Missouri. It's possible there's back and forth or some kind of behind-the-scenes discussion...
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand another one today
I wonder who will prosecute this. Jackson County (which includes Kansas City) or Clay County (which includes Excelsior Springs)? Location abducted from or location held captive/possibly some killed? Presumably Clay County?
That's exactly what I was thinking. The river carried her there. Off topic but I suspect that's where little Lisa Irwin ended up too. (totally different case)
Night owl here. I'm 66 and the older I get the more of a night owl I seem to be. I assure you I could shoot someone, sprint away on foot, play 6 sets of tennis, mow the lawn, and catch up on all the cases I'm following on 0-4 hours of sleep and not miss a beat!

OK this case just gets more and more bizarre. I'm going to summarize the latest from a news report I saw on probably KSHB 41 and in today's Kansas City Star, which is behind a paywall.
No one can figure out any connection between Kevin Ray Moore and the two Stowers Institute researchers, nor...
I'm starting to develop a theory on this case based on the murder of Aaron Markarian in 2013. The perps were out looking for a house to rob and one of them remembered they had bought drugs at the house in question before. This house had high tenant turnover because it was near a college campus...
