Performance or appearance fees are usually "post tax payments".
The studio has to withhold the tax and pay it on your behalf.
It stops the likes of overseas performers coming here and earning a fee and not paying any tax on it.
We had to do a similar thing when sporting competitors came here to...
Good theory. Pretty much fits in with a lot of the theories I have as well.
I wouldn't be surprised if he put the phone on charge just before he left so it would appear not to move (or run out of battery and his location be put into question)
I am also not convinced someone else was involved...
I watched the 60 minutes thing when it was uploaded last night.
You really do have to feel sorry for TM in my opinion.
She was sucked in by the same BS that Allison was.
You can't really take Allison's side and think TM was evil as they were both victims of this manipulative person.
I think they had planned a discussion as per the theorist recommendations.
The discussion either started inside and got loud or they started outside from the start. Either way they moved out the back so as to not wake the kids.
I think the discussion got to the point where Allison said she was...
Don't get me wrong. I am all for real journalism. Tell us the "real" stories but stop paying criminals for the rating.
If any of these media outlets had any dignity, they would be donating some of this bribe money to a trust for the children.
Nobody deserves to profit from the loss of a...
Yeah print media isn't as bad as TV, but they are still rating hunting scum IMO
Just look at the level of content (I can't call it journalism) that CM and all News Corp companies print/post these days.
It's tabloid junk. They have only been surviving on this case, Daniel Morcombe and plane...
Just shows me the media are scum. Bargaining with a murderer for the rights to how he "didn't" do it.
This is why I no longer have my TV tuned in to watch this tabloid trash or bother buying or reading these newspapers.
Same thing happens with Shapelle Corby.
The media needs to be fined...
Yes, in normal peoples lives this is true. But remember he just killed his wife. The risks of someone finding that out would far outweigh the kids waking up.
The eldest was 12 I think. I feel she is sensible/smart enough to calm the others if it did happen and try to call mum/dad/grandparents...
I know nothing about what would happen if they charged someone else for moving the body, but ...
IMO GBC did the murder and moved the body.
If an accomplice was involved, I can only think of one person, and if they were at all involved it would have been (literally) baby sitting the kids.
I thought more about this (again I haven't seen these injuries on his hands), and maybe everything happened on the back porch.
There was evidence of a bleed from her head which could have been caused by hitting her head on the concrete.
Having it happen on the back porch fits with a lot of...
Cheating isn't illegal in Australia and her partner or her aren't suspects in any murder, however her name and life has been dragged into this with a lot of people thinking she is involved in the murder.
She has been dragged into an unfortunate situation for only doing what 1000's of others do...
Well that is what the prosecution is telling us.
She was killed (probably suffocated) in the house, dragged round the back (picking up leaves in her hair) to the car, driven up past the Kenmore round-a-bout and out to Kholo Creek.
The photo on this page of his chest paints the picture for me...
I can't say I have seen the pics of his hand, but I doubt she had a stick in the lounge room.
I would guess he slipped getting down the embankment at the creek. It is incredibly steep and I can't imagine trying to get through that scrub at night.
He has to maintain the illusion of innocence until all appeals are exhausted.
His only real source of help from the outside world would now be his parents.
Sounds like anyone who ever helped him in the past he owes money to, so there would be no one else coming to his aid.
I am sure he will keep trying every chance he gets.
Assuming he does nothing wrong in jail, one would expect him to be out sometime between the 15-20 year mark (minus the time he has already served)
Given he has no prior criminal history (except being a real estate agent :-) ), one would assume...
That is how I am reading it. It's natural life.
However the docoment I found that said how it was across the states also said the average for a life sentence in Queensland was 15 years 9 months.
It was written in 1989 though...
I did some googling and it seems QLD (and one other state) that life is natural life.
It's not like he hits 20 years and he is free. There is a mandatory (non-parole) of 15 years and we heard from the judge.
I did see he recommended it be strongly evaluated when it comes...
I think the really interesting part will start now.
We will obviously get the sentencing which will be the start of it all.
Next will be the (hopefully failed) appeals.
Once Gerrard realises he is going to jail for the next 20 something years, will he squeal on any accomplices if they exist...
