But isn't that what happened with the woodcutters? They saw someone but it turned out to be staff, not Serenity?
I'm not really saying she's still in the Home and never left, but it has crossed my mind, only because it is so strange to me.
Does anyone else think that railroad trestle looks incredibly dangerous? Maybe it's just because I have heights issues but I would never step foot on it and I'm surprised it's open for the public to walk across with no railings or barriers whatsoever.
I'm starting to wonder that as well. I wonder if Person (2) in the car actually saw her or someone else. Is Person (2) the only person who claims to have seen her outside of the Home (besides the woodcutters who have been discounted)?
I suppose there are witnesses inside the Home who saw her...
But doesn't the article read as though the first guy has been cleared? Maybe I'm just not understanding what you're saying and how you're getting to the possibility that they may be related and, I assume, both involved.
(edit) Or I misunderstood what LE meant in the article. Both good...
Yeah, taking the phone or anything from the crime scene would be very dangerous. He had no idea he was being recorded and photographed, so there would be no reason to. He must have been in shock to find his picture and voice all over the internet and the news.
Thanks for that. From the article:
"The man in the first sketch, which was released in July 2017, is no longer considered a suspect."
It's still confusing. On the one hand, they're saying the person responsible is "a combination of the two", but then they go on to say the guy is the first...
Might the sketches be of two different people who were seen in the vicinity that day? Has LE actually said, never mind the first one, he doesn't exist or he's morphed into the second one, or have they simply added this new face into the mix?
*Sorry, I'm not as up to speed on this case as...
Delphi's in the northern-ish part of the state, not far from where I lived in W. Lafayette. From my limited experience and the few words spoken, he sounds consistent with the area.
I'm not clear on the origins or the background on the sketches, but what I think is the first one (scruffy 30+...
Yup (not from the Midwest, but lived there for five years), and I agree that he sounds and, more so, *looks* older than 30 (though I am notoriously bad about guessing ages).
But, I do think the combination of the photo(s) and the voice would be unmistakable to someone who knows him.
There's no doubt in my mind that there are people know who recognize him. I wonder if the situation is like Ted Bundy, where at least two people called authorities to report that the sketch looked like him but the tips were buried in the mountain of calls.
Yeah. There's something there, I think, too. He doesn't seem like a guy who'd be wearing a fanny pack but he does seem to be holding something or there's something hanging from his waist. Also, does it look like he's got a bit of a limp or he's stiff, or something? Maybe it's just because...
I'm still amazed this child has not been found. I know there are challenges, but really, unless she was snatched off the street, how far could she have gotten?
I'm not saying people aren't trying, I'm...just amazed and sad.
